I chose Progressive Energy Solutions to reroof my home and I couldn't have been happier. Progressive Energy installed my Solar system 9 years ago and it has been one of the best investments I ever made. So when it can time to reroof I called Progressive to remove the solar panels so my roofer could reroof, David at progressive informed me that they do roofing as well as solar, I had no idea. I set up a time for them to stop by and quote out the roof and got a pleasant surprise not only was their pricing extremely competive but because they were doing the roof they removed and reinstalled the solar for free as part of the job saving me thousands of dollars. They also were able to get the roofing done weeks before the other roofers could. Also the were able to get me free financing for one year with no interest which was a great help to my family. I highly recommend Progressive for all your home improvements. Thank you Progressive Team!Mar 8, 2019
Roof Installation or Replacement
My sales and my HERO contract both say that I will get a cool-air roof that is re-sheathed with CDX plywood. It was a lift and re-lay, with all broken tile replaced, that would be mold, fungus, and rot free. The cdx was to be 16 mm exposure 1 rated plywood. This was substituted for 11 mm exposure 1 rated plywood. Then I caught them using 7 to 8 mm interior plywood with voids in the interior rated core and veneer while charging me for 16mm CDX plywood. From inspecting the final product, they subbed an unknown number of 7 to 8 mm plywood boards that better never get wet. Yet what they charged for was for the 1st quoted 16 mm plywood. It is not a cool-air roof. It was changed to a solar fan vented roof that I have waited for 3-4 weeks so far for the fan to be installed. There is broken tile in the finished product. I have places that drain water over raw wood and open edge sheathing. One spot has a hole in the stucco for water to drain into. I should have held out for an exactly worded contract. I did not get a written warranty. I did not get a final itemized bill. The workmen only will do what they are told to do with what materials are supplied. When different roofer subcontractors were used the workmanship, quality changed. This could have been a 4-star roof. Our roof rebuilding work started April 3, 2019. On 6/19/2019 they came back out to finalize everything. They changed the venting for the installed 600 square foot veting to venting for a 1300 + square foot attic area as it originally was, to work with the solar fan for 850 square foot attic area. They cleaned up one of several obstructed or covered roof drainage valleys leaving the others untouched. They sporatically came out to clear multiple quality issues and defects in the final product. The manager was irate over the final product. The fan and venting pull the attic temperature to +5 degrees of ambient. We will see what happens through the summer. The obstructed drainage valleys that remain so far as I can tell is work for another roof contractor. This points out the need for good quality control management of the entire roof repair process from start to finish. And a detailed contract as nowhere is it stated specifically what the quality is going to be built in to the final product. I have a roof that is all that can be said. If the work needed still be done was completed it would be a 4-star roof. If there had been good quality control management to prevent problems with workmanship and substitutions before they became a problem it would be a 5-star roof.Jun 27, 2019Verified
David came to my home after seeing how SCE is screwing me with their rates I couldn't wait to go solar. Just got my first bill from SCE and it was less than 5 dollars and that was just government fee's. Please give Progressive Energy Solutions a chance to do what they did for my family you will not be sorry.Mar 8, 2019
I would highly recommend Progressive to everyone. They were professional. No high pressure sales. Just the facts. I knew what was going up on my roof before I signed anything. They are not the cheapest but then good quality workmanship never is. The installers could not of been any more helpful and because this was installed right after Christmas they were on the roof so they pulled down the Christmas lights for me, as a single mom I pay to have the lights put up and removed every year, progressive removed them for free. Thank you Progressive and special thanks to Don.Mar 12, 2019
