Jeff is professional, meticulous, puntual, smart, pleasant and most importantly an excellent TV mounter! We presented him with a tricky task of mounting a 75" TV in a section of a built-in unit with very little clearance. Jeff was up for the challenge and despite a number of unexpected challenges (i.e., electrical outlet in exactly the wrong spot), Jeff completed the job easily and without frustration. I HIGHLY recommend hiring Jeff for your home theater needs. We plan to use him again to optimize our computer/home network as well. Money very well spent!!
Pete was knowledgeable, serious and trustworthy, and really dug in on setting up my Apple network in a seamless and secure way - in a challenging wireless network topography. I'll bring him in again for more work on my computer.
Ari is the consummate professional. He is knowledgeable, personable, and efficient. I had struggled getting my wifi network working again after making a change of internet providers and equipment. Ari not only solved the problems I was having, he suggested and provided some very cost effective upgrades that have vastly improved the speed and coverage of my network. I am very impressed with his work, and he is a great value. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone struggling with their wifi network.
Sean did a wonderful job setting up WiFi in our home — we had been using an extender and he converted us to using one network. He was punctual, patient, and very kind. I appreciated how he talked us through what he was doing and made sure we understood everything. I would highly recommend working with Sean for any networking and/or computer needs. Thank you, Sean!
I requested wifi to be delivered to the guest house I am renting. It is less than 300' with and 40' grade change. The first tech wanted to run a new Ethernet line to the guest house. Bill came out and before any estimate determined that there was already cat5e lines run in conduit to the guest house. He determined in a short period of time that he would be able to bring internet access to the guest house. The main house had a complicated and dated network and when the updated Comcast modem/router was refreshed the network went down. The Comcast tech had not provisioned the modem/router. Bill worked with level I & II tech support at Comcast to get the main house network up and running and then the guest house network. I am now connected with a hard wired Ethernet line to wifi router in the guest house. Bill's commitment, expertise and temperment were tested on this job. He was not done until he knew both networks were up and running. The main house has a more stable network and the guest house now has wifi. Both families are pleased with your work ethic and results. Thanks Bill.
Excellent service from the tech send to my home. He was very knowledgeable and he also helped me with setting up a network with file sharing. I recommend this company as I looked into BBB before I made a call. I strongly recommend them.
I would highly recommend Johnny to anybody who experience network problems . He fixed my home network mess and replace Comcast modem very fast.
John was excellent. He responded to my request and came out immediately. (especially on a Saturday) He was able to diagnose and fix the problem very quickly. He also made sure that the printer's network configuration was still accurate.
Big Dog Computing has done a number PC, Server and Network projects for us. More than once they have gone the extra mile and come through for me in a pinch. Last year we had a legacy RAID unit fail and the original supplier was going to take a week or more to fix it. Big Dog came out within the hour, diagnosed the problem, got parts and had it up and running in 4 hours. I have never been more satisfied with an IT provider.
I talked to 3 pros and they ranged in price $35-50-70/hr. One wanted me to pay for travel. Another was going to send a sub-contractor. Sam was willing to tailor a tutoring session to help my 12 year old son with an html homework assignment. He started from scratch and taught him a lot of the foundational pieces he hadn't learned before. And, he provided a basic overview of how to work with a PC - from antivirus needs to asset management. I sat in on this since I'm a "MAC" user and I wanted to be able to help my kid with basic upkeep. Sam is clearly very experienced. He's a patient teacher (good with kids). I will probably hire him for help with excel, powerpoint, and other business & school applications. He was also on time and professional. I'd definitely recommend him to Thumbtack users.

Henry get a "thumbs up" from me!
Jeff solved our server/network issues within minutes!
