Michael James home studio has been the best music program my daughter has ever attended and as musically talented kid she has had many instructors. Mr. James has a true passion for his work and is also very versatile working with his students on a unique and personal level so that music lessons can be a joy as they should be instead of a burdensome task. Outstanding!!!
Heather is great to work with.
Mr Whitt provides a bounty of musical production skills. I have 1st-hand knowledge of his musical talent after having worked with him on numerous projects over the years. Recently, he has upgraded his production capabilities by creating a state-of-the-art recording studio. In addition to this landmark achievement, he also is a multi-instrumentalist with a number of top-notch musical instruments available for use on a recording project. To top it off, his studio is near the beautiful Kings Canyon area of California in a rural setting. Just the surroundings of the studio make artistic endeavors come more easily.
I work with individuals to help accommodate their goals in the most personal way possible. Let's find your musical path, learn how to read and write music, and much more.
You get to learn how to play guitar by learning to play songs that you want to play. I have been playing for 50+ years, and teaching for more than 45 years.
I have a simple two-step process. I break the study of guitar down into a series of objectives with measurable and achievable outcomes to master a set of appropriate chords that will allow them to play thousands of songs and to develop the ability to move between those chords comfortably and in time.
We teach guitar introductory, basic accompaniment and voice to any age demographic. We build confidence and help to promote individuality!
My service stands out, because approach to the application of this art reaches to the depths of my knowledge and skill and ensures comprehension in all facets.
I have been playing the guitar for 10 years. I play the guitar for my church, and I love teaching kids and youth.
I have taught over 17-year-olds once. I prefer one-hour sessions. I teach with kindness and support. I have nieces and nephews who are all under 12. I understand children as well as adults and young adults. Teaching is a privilege, and I learn too.
I have been playing guitar for seven years and have experience learning and playing a significant range of musical genres, including blues, rock, metal, blues rock, country rock, etc. I have taken lessons from Boston's Berkeley College of Music alumni, Mike Berkowitz. I spent the majority of my learning years through today playing onstage at a local church, working my way up from playing in the youth group to now performing most weeks of the month in front of over one-thousand people. I have performed in a number of local bands and at venues like "The Big Fresno Fair" and have toured to areas along the West Coast performing at reputable venues, such as the "Whiskey A Go Go" in LA and "The Great American Music Hall" located in San Francisco. I have recently decided to begin teaching guitar and pass on the knowledge and skill I have gained through my experiences from performing music to writing and occasionally recording. I can provide lessons or guidance to students of any range of skill from beginner to advanced, from basic chord changes to advanced technique. Many people believe that they can learn to play music solely from the Internet, but this method lacks structure and guidance. I notice that many holes form within their knowledge of music, and this hinders musicians from being able to express themselves freely. I hope to close any gaps and allow for a full knowledge of the instrument so that it may be played expressively and without hindrance. I realize that I am in an inconvenient location in relation to Fresno and am perfectly willing to travel to the student at a possible additional cost depending on distance or convenience to help cover gas charges. Thank you, and I look forward to working with you!

I have been playing guitar for four years. I can teach intro-intermediate guitar skills. I can also work well with kids. Preferably, I can work with no younger than six simply because of the learning curve, but I'm willing to listen. I can provide half-hour lessons for $10.
My lessons are tailored to all levels of proficiency: beginner, intermediate, and advanced guitarists. Students master lifelong music fundamentals: time signatures, picking styles, chords, scales, strumming patterns and plenty of technique.
