We have worked with Sabina for almost a year now on both our 501 c 3 Public Charity and our C Corp. company websites. Sabina and Design Dhaka have gone above and beyond in their work with our companies. For many years we have dealt with people in this field and never received the quality, professionalism, competitive pricing, passion and follow through received while using Sabina and Design Dhaka. She is clearly experienced and committed to do things by the book. Her work has always been original and worth every penny and more. She has saved us tons of money and provided us a service few can compare with, comprehend or achieve. I highly recommend her to other businesses looking for her services. She has been a pleasure to work with, is timely and stands by the products and services she provides. Feel free to contact me if you are interested in receiving further recommendation regarding Sabina and Design Dhaka.

BWA Design was the first to respond to my request for a book designer. However, his skills and abilities weren't what I was looking for as far as a book. If I needed someone to create flyers, banners, logos or websites, he will be my first contact.

Emily provided two complete edits to my first book. She was professional, timely and very reasonable in her fees. She not only provided invaluable grammatical insights--she also gave me great insights on the overall readability of certain topics. I will use Emily should I write another book and would recommend her to anyone. She is a consummate professional and encouraged me throughout the entire process. After interviewing several Editors, it was a no-brainer to pick Tanya. Her skills seemed far superior and they proved to be sky high above my expectations. Tanya is a wordsmith extraordinaire who breathed new life into my story! She is friendly, communicative and was always available for my questions while working on my story. Bezuki Services / Several Stories High is a great team. They were very professional and passionate with my story. I ended up with my story that now flows well for readers and has an eye-catching cover on the book. I feel blessed to have found this team!

Nate is an amazingly creative and diverse talent. Over two years ago, I stumbled upon his website after doing a search for graphic designers. Since that time, he has developed an arsenal of pieces and campaigns for me - from datasheets, to portfolio presentations, Twitter and Facebook covers, book covers, stationary, promotional flyers, business card, website banners, business cards, logos and so much more. I cannot stress enough that THERE IS ABSOULTELY NOTHING THAT HE CAN'T DO! Not to mention, he is affordable, timely, super patient, easy to work with, and always willing to make changes until the job is done to perfection. Oddly enough, I probably would not recognize him if we bumped into each other on the street (b/c we've never met), but I adore him and his commitment to professional excellence.

I have had the privilege of working with Sonia at two different companies. She held the position of Sr. Art Director at both Stampington & Co., a renown arts & crafts magazine & periodical publishing company and Creative Imaginations, one of the top crafting supplies design studio and manufacturers. Her strengths are understanding a client's vision and elevating it with her design sensibilities and skill. She is a consummate professional and a great collaborator. She is artistic, has a good eye for composition, is clever, has a marketing background, understands trends, has created logos, designed numerous patterns, and has designed and laid out entire publications (e.g. Somerset Studio) of the highest aesthetic quality. You can have confidence you will get the graphic designs you are looking for.

I had been working on a non-fiction book to grow my business for quite some time and really struggling. A good friend referred me to Jenna and after talking with her for about 10 minutes, it was clear that I needed her help. She worked with me first to get an outline for my book and helped me set the tone that credentialized me. She coached me through the first couple of chapters and when I realized I that I am just not a writer at heart, I hired her to ghost write the rest. I am so glad that I did. Her skill with words is outstanding. My book is going through a final proofread right now and in the next few weeks I am going to be a published author!

There are "No flies" on Justin. Justin is an old colleague of mine, additionally we have collaborated together on various projects in the past. Justin's fascination with learning can be noted by his acceptance and attendance at UNAM while studying foreign languages, additionally with the completion of his first book, which focused on a colorful spectrum of contemporary music facts; from music composition to pop culture. Justin absolutely "Walks The Talk" as a professional, a teacher, a composer, an author, a colleague, and a friend. Justin's journey to educate and inspire those around him, and to those who are willing to listen, is one I condone and support!

I don't even know where to begin in telling you just how highly I recommend Tracy. As a first time author, it was a bit daunting to interview editors and select one. But I had 5 key-words in mind regarding how I wanted to feel while working with an editor, and when I spoke to Tracy, she fit them all. Those words were: Wisdom, Trust, Support, Joy, and Ease. So I hired her for a developmental edit, and I am so happy I did. In addition to being a skilled editor (and writer), I was impressed by her availability and her willingness to answer my ridiculously long list of questions that I sent over along with my manuscript! Tracy not only did the job I hired her to do in terms of a developmental edit, but she also helped me believe in myself as a writer and provided some major hand-holding during some stressful times in this process. Speaking of the stresses, I had already hired another editor for the copy/line edit, but I ended up going back to Tracy for that as well! I really wanted someone who would make my "already good" writing even *better*. And Tracy did just that. It was just a pleasure to work with her, and there were many times that her answers to my questions made me laugh or her line edits made me cry (because they were so good!). I feel much more confident about putting my first book, "The Multi-Orgasmic Diet," out into the world now, thanks to Tracy's beautiful edits and helpful guidance! So if you want someone with experience, skill, attention to detail, and who will truly care about your finished product, I highly recommend Tracy Teel.

I was referred to Moosmedia by a close friend of mine, who raved about Rahsaan's work on her website, back up support, maintenance and impeccable service with prompt responses. I needed a spectacular logo that I could easily brand and wanted to make it consumer friendly. I also needed a website, where my clients could book events, pay their balance, and save their information (profiles) to my website which Rahsaan calls a "database". The data base he created brought me so much more business, as he was able to use that information to drive so much traffic to my site that my business grew very very fast. Who knew that a simple website could bring revenue to a new start up like mine. I have now gone back to Moosmedia for a face lift to my website in order to keep up with the latest tech trends and manicured look! Thanks Moosmedia I have recommended you to all of my colleagues, family and friends in the South Bay Area! - Toni

Duke edited my epic fantasy series of over 1 million words. My publisher had me cut down the word count because it was to much to publish and Duke helped me with the process. I couldn't have completed my series without him. He worked exclusively with me for six months to help me get my series how I wanted it. A master editor and ghostwrite (hell, the parts he helped me write were better than my own stuff!) and I wouldn't work with anybody but Duke. Thanks, man.

Nancy Farrier edited my book, Rumors & Promises, for Heritage Beacon Fiction, an imprint of Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas. She was very thorough in content editing, making excellent suggestions to improve my story while also being open to rapport with me (the author). Her proofreading was also helpful. Her attention to detail, suggestions, and precise communication skills helped make my novel a stronger story. I am very pleased with the outcome and look forward to working with her again. I can highly recommend Nancy Farrier to edit your next book!

Driven to write my Vietnam memoir, I persisted in that lonely task and completed a first draft. I was pleased, but knew I needed an editor. I contacted Cecilia Fannon in California and she agreed to work with me. In the time agreed upon, she thoughtfully reviewed the manuscript and vastly helped me improve my efforts. Her editing made my book more compelling. She did not change the story I wanted to tell, but it was better. An established writer, she is extremely intelligent, fun to work with, and scrupulously honest. A rare combination. Nothing went wrong and I recommend her to a wide range of authors without reservation.

Highly creative and original. Deep thought into the best solution for you and your business and audience. I love translating for the client what they have seen for themselves all along. Design to me is like a puzzle, and I love making all the pieces fit and generate an overall feeling. I love being an artist so if the solution includes illustration or logo development I am in heaven.

How do you hire a good grant writer?

Grants are available to nonprofit organizations, for-profit businesses that qualify for government grants, and individuals who qualify for foundation or government grants. Hiring a good grant writer can help you gain funding in your chosen field. According to the American Grant Writers’ Association, grant writers can help you research potential grant opportunities; write grant proposals, create budgets, and build budget narratives; review written materials before you submit; prepare a business plan; analyze your organization for grant competitive qualities; prepare research grants; help with 501(c)(3) applications for nonprofits; and more. Investing in the right grant writer could result in a financial win for your organization. Generally no licenses or certificates are required to be a good grant writer, but you may want to find a grant writer who has been certified (not just received a certificate of completion) by a reputable organization such as the Grant Professionals Certification Institute. Qualities to look for in a good grant writer include:

            • Proven success writing winning grants, especially in your target area.
            • Strong writing skills.
            • Strong math skills and demonstrated proficiency with budgeting.
            • Careful attention to detail — brilliant grant proposals may be rejected just for formatting errors, so you want someone who follows instructions explicitly.
            • Expertise in your target area.
            • Punctuality and good communication skills.

How much does a grant writer cost?

Hiring a grant writer can give you a competitive edge when applying for financial grants for your business or nonprofit organization, or as an individual. The cost to hire a grant writer can vary depending on their academic background, areas of expertise, previous grant writing success and years of experience. According to the Grant Professionals Association, grant writers should be paid hourly or by flat fee. It is unethical for a grant writer to accept a commission or percentage compensation of grant monies received. They can, however, be awarded bonuses in line with the hiring company’s prevailing practices. Here are some examples of average grant writing fees:

            • Hourly rate for grant writers with less experience or fewer grants awarded: $25-$35 per hour.
            • Hourly rate for grant writers with some degree of success: $35-$75 per hour.
            • Hourly rate for grant writers with proven success winning large grants: $75-$150 or more per hour.
            • For a smaller grant, the writer may charge a flat fee of $200-$500 for preparation and submission.

Pricing may also vary based on the complexity of the grant application. A federal grant that requires pages of research, budgets and a business plan may take more than 30 hours to prepare. For a high-level grant writer who charges $100 per hour, this means $3,000 or more in grant writing fees.

Most grant writers will provide you with a total cost estimate before agreeing to the work. You may be required to pay a deposit up front, or the grant writer may work from a retainer. Often, seasoned grant writers pay for themselves in the long run by writing successful grants.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
