I am a middle aged guy, (54) and wanted to make radical changes in my life. I started by addressing my up-tight over weight body! This is where I found Veronique. Veronique is not your average Yoga, fitness swim instructor, much more. For me she is guiding me through a new way of life, addressing all of what I think are my short comings. In our first few weeks I have gained much more flexibility, strength and confidence than I have had in a very long time. Veronica is a truly gifted and professional teacher. What ever your concerns, Veronique is so nonjudgmental, you will become comfortable in a very short time no matter what level you are at. When leaving our two hour session i am already looking forward to our next. I give 5 stars!
Jared is great! He is fun to work with. I have lost 8 pounds, many inches and feel wonderful. He has a holistic approach and this is what I was looking for. He has a strong background in yoga and I enjoy the mix of strength training, yoga and massages. I highly recommend Jared!!
I've been taking Ellen Chapelle's yoga classes for the past 2 or 3 years. She is amazing. Her knowledge not only of yoga, but the human body is so out of control. She has great suggestions and advice for every little question I have. Her energy is so radiant that it just feels great to be around her! She's hilarius too. It's great to see someone so expierienced but still not take themselves or life to seriously. Great energy. Great person. Great teacher. I recommend any of her classes to anyone.
Ericka is amazing! She does a great job of pushing you to your limits while also respecting what level you are (beginners & advanced!) Awesome with HIIT, Yoga, Running, fun park activities. Great positive energy & compliments with good rec's on food / lifestyle choices.
I have taken yoga from Sierra for over four years. Her attention to the details of practice and finer points of yoga lifestyle kept me coming back week after week. She is attuned to the seasons and changes they bring as it affects the yoga practitioner. As a new student, she will carefully guide you, but she will also deepen your own long practice.
My experience with Ferox Yoga was a very pleasant and informative experience. When I scheduled a private session with Claire, she was very quick to respond, and she provided me with a questionnaire that addressed all of my needs, goals, and noted any injuries I have/had. I am a male individual in my late twenties, and I lift weights about 4-5 times a week. I don't have too much experience in yoga, and I'm not all that flexible. A few years back, I had spent about five months recovering from a lower back injury from doing deadlifts improperly. Since then, I've recovered, but I've noticed a lack of strength in my lower back which I noted in Claire's questionnaire. Once we began the private lesson, she assured me I didn't require any previous experience. We focused heavily on my form and breathing through many of the starting poses, and she showed me a lot of different exercises that helped to strengthen my lower back. Claire was extremely supportive and patient throughout the entire lesson. Also, her bubbliness and kindness are one of a kind! My first experience with Ferox Yoga was amazing. By the end of the session, my entire body felt energized, and I had gained more knowledge from Claire about yoga than I'd ever had. She was a great instructor, and she did such a great job accommodating me considering my lack of experience and past injury. I would highly recommend her regardless if you are an avid yogin, recovering from an injury, or totally new to yoga. She is great!
I've loved yoga for a long time and I really wanted to deepen my practice. I took Holly's vinyasa flow class at Equinox. I loved her style and we decided to work together one on one. Now Im doing hand stand at the wall! I really appreciate how Holly breaks down the poses and, even when Im thinking "no way", she always helps me experience what part of the pose i CAN do. Its super fun and empowering.
Mariana provides a highly personalized experience that makes me feel real progress. I initially started working with her because I wanted to push myself during workouts, but was amazed at how her focus on form, breathing, and nutrition have pushed me to another level. I used to think the formula was all 'no pain, no gain' - Mari helped me focus on new habits (like static stretching and yoga) that help me recover faster and perform stronger. I have been working with her for over 1.5 years and can confidently say she helped get me to my prime athletic condition. Cannot reccomend enough!
Lauren is just wonderful to work with - she is very knowledgeable, experienced, responsive and always prepared. She is also extremely supportive, funny and kind. I worked out with her on my own for a few months in a post-partum setting and she has more recently been teaching yoga to me and my husband. We have such little time for ourselves these days and treasure that hour each week.

Denelles class is something I look forward to each week; her energy and passion for yoga are contagious! Denelles practice always challenges the mind, body, and soul, but she balances this with a sense of humor and light-heartedness. Her dance background is apparent in her beautiful flows and poses, and she does a great job of breaking down the poses so that all levels can comfortably participate. She is a wonderful teacher and I leave her class energized and ready to take on the week!
The yoga class was great. Relaxing yet intense, with lots of personal attention, encouragement and attention to detail. It was loads of fun.
I have known Alia for a very long time now and worked with her for about two years. She was the perfect trainer for me because of her background in Yoga. I have back and knee problems from when I played soccer and Volleyball and she was very responsive to that and knew all the right workouts and stretches. She kicked my butt with out out hurting me further. So if you are someone who has any kind of back problem or anything really she can work around that! Thank you Alia for your service and pushing me to be my best :)
My husband and I celebrated our 50th birthday with friends and hired Carolena to come and instruct yoga for us. Carolena showed up on time, was very professional and brought a beautiful energy to our group. Her instructing was easy to follow and well put together. We all came from varying levels of yoga and Carolena did a wonderful job instructing to a mixed group. We wouldn’t hesitate to work with Carolena again! K. Hayes
What can I say besides she is the VERY BEST! I have been practicing with MaryAnn for 4 years both in classes full of students and in one on one private sessions. She has helped me gain confidence in myself as a yogi and as an individual. She pushes me to push myself but also knows when I need to slow it down and listen to my body (especially during pregnancy). MaryAnn’s love for movement is everpresent in the way she flows and transitions through both her yoga and dance practice. The way she sequences yoga flows on demand is so creative. She helps people explore and play with movement, moving them beyond their comfort zone. I have had many “ah ha!” moments with MaryAnn all because of her “Just try it!” perspective.
I've taken Jackie's classes many times at a number of different studios in SF; each time I learn something new and leave with a good sweat! For me, it's the perfect combination of meditation, stretching, core workout and yoga flow.
Leigh was our private yoga instructor in Napa for a ladies weekend. She was professional, punctual, communicative and very sweet. We were VERY impressed by her ability to teach us all, as we all had different levels of experience. The session was a perfect balance of restorative, energizing, and "work out" yoga---exactly what we wanted. Leigh brought hot stones and aromatherapy and walked us through the meaning of everything. Overall, this was one of the best yoga classes I have ever had---and, I wish Leigh lived in southern California because I would take classes from her all the time.
It has been really special to have Elika lead private yoga classes for me in my home. She brings not only a challenging series of postures but also yoga philosophy, pranayama, and thoughtful themes to tie together the session. Her overall demeanor is very happy and approachable. I immediately felt comfortable in her presence. Highly recommend!
Regina was amazing to work with! She immediately recognized things about my body that I've been struggling to identify for years. She gave me clear and specific tools that I can apply as I develop my own practice and attend other group classes. Brett and his team were wonderful! We used a few of the services that EWS offers massage, desk yoga and healthy cooking classes. The people in our offices would line up to sign up; it was always a full house. I would recommend EWS to any company looking to provide Professional on-site wellness service to their employees.
Gina took a very personal approach when we started our lessons. I suffered from sciatic pain after a lower back/ spasm injury due to a bulging disk so decided to try yoga to help strengthen my lower back and lessen my pain. She was always prepared with different poses to improve my health. She has a true passion for the practice and helping her patients. Gina was in it for the journey with me and I really appreciated that.
