Introduction: Hello! My name is Rosana Gomez Valdor. I am an organized, hard worker and dedicated person who loves playing golf. I am originally from Spain but moved to the United States seven years ago driven by my passion for golf. I have been playing golf since I was 11 years old. Throughout my golf career, I have won several individual tournaments at the state as well as national level. I also competed with the state team. While obtaining my bachelors, I was able to play for the University of Texas at El Paso on a golf scholarship. During that time, we made history by winning the conference tournament for the first time in school history. Individually, my average moved from 81 during my freshman year to 75 in my senior year. I got several top ten finishes during all four years I played for the team. After earning my bachelor's degree, I was offered another scholarship as the graduate assistant coach position by Jerry Pelletier, head coach of the woman's golf team. During that time, I was assigned different tasks including organizing off the course workouts, long and short game practices as well as course management. I also helped with the recruiting process and equipment management. While earning both of my degrees, I gave private golf lessons to adults and taught free golf lessons to children for a community service program called First Tee. It is always a pleasure to teach and help others to improve their game so that they can keep enjoying this amazing and challenging sport. Currently, I continue playing golf, and I am going to participate in the q-school for the LPGA Tour next summer. I am also working at Green River Golf Club as Marshall, Starter and as one of the instructors for a player development program for adults and children.
