Angel was all around great. He gave me a reasonable flat rate quote range and that allowed me to know what to budget for. I was having a camera installed to my doorbell that links to our security system. The power was not running for when our alarm tech came by. Our alarm tech was not certified to work on electrical, and so I found Angel through Thumbtack. Turns out I needed more than one part replaced. He stayed within the quoted budget (including labor and material) He came promptly, and worked time efficiently. He stayed to make sure all my connections were in order before he left. Thank you so much. I have recommended him to our alarm tech and I will definitely be calling him for any future electrical needs.
Workers were prompt, courteous, efficient and knowledgeable. Work was finished very quickly and priced reasonably. Next time I need a contractor I will be sure to call Box construction.
Chris figured out the problems quickly and had my sprinklers working quickly. Did a great job. Hard worker and reasonable price.
Roger did an absolutely amazing job and was so easy to work with from the very start. He was extremely flexible when it came time to performing the work and came three days in a row to complete the project. At no point did he raise the price from his original quote due to the labor taking a little longer than planned as different problems popped up along the way. His pricing was extremely reasonable and I never felt like he was trying to take advantage of our lack of knowledge of the issues he was working on. Our family will definitely be using Roger again!
Frank was super easy to work with and completly honest. He bought all the materials for the work he was doing for me and brought me all the recipes. He charged me for the labor and was super reasonable . Frank was also very flexible and worked around my schedule and demands. I am using him for all the other projects I have around the house . He no longer feels like somebody I contracted for a job but more like a friend. Thank you frank for your hard work and making my vision come to life .
Installation of flooring. I was not going to install in the kitchen flooring because of a cabinet that sits right above my fridge. Mike the owner said he would move the cupboard up an inch so the flooring and the cupboard would still leave room for the fridge. No problem and free of charge! How great right? He had his laborers do the flooring BEFORE and then told me he was unable to move the cabinet. Since he couldn't leave my fridge in the middle of the kitchen floor, he had his guy force it into place and cracked the cabinet. NOT only that, there was a vent that was suppose to go just under the front portion of the fridge which was already cut out....but now could not fit into the hole because the fridge was too tight against the upper cabinet. So...he had a piece of flooring cut and put into the hole with the grain going in the opposite direction!!!!!!!!! I now have a cracked and ruined cabinet, a floor with patchwork and will never be able to move my fridge for cleaning behind and under. I can only imagine what damage was done to the new flooring under the fridge. BTW, I work for a union contractor so the laughs on me.
Their workers were very obliging, helpful and thorough.
They remodeled my kitchen and I couldn't be happier. They helped me pick out products that stayed within my budget and the cabinets turned out amazing. This company does a great job and I didn't feel like they took any shortcuts or try to up-sell me. The workers were very friendly and I felt comfortable with them in my home. I definitely recommend them!!
I am a General Contractor ,from Santa Barbara Area here for several upcoming projects we were hand chosen due to our high quality workmanship thus relocated as part of our deal, While here Wife decided to buy a second home ,not knowing any roofers we ran across his ad and decided to give him a shot either that or wait for our roofer from Santa Barbara to come here when his time allowed,I was hesitant due to the high standards and clientel we are accustom to In Santa Barbara my wife included ...To our amazement Toms personality as a person was a pleasure to work with on a professional level his work and his of qualitywork far exceeded what we were expecting down here ,Tom is capable to perform as directed without little if no input from us it went smooth,Other subs we hired here for our own personal projects saw me as the General and not as the client which we were not happy about , Tom saw beyond that knowing I am a general yet not on my personal property , he gave us A-1 treatment , quality of his workmanship is beyond what I expected if the need arose I would not hesitate to take him back home to Santa barbara as a subcontractor , however as for now we, click which makes my life easier to say the least so in regards to down this area I think I found one subcontractor I will keep....As for you others subcontractors from this area well it's probably in my best interest to just bring my subcontractors from Santa Barbara due the working relationship with me and their high quality of workmanship which I have built my reputation on , However Tom has proved himself beyond what I expected and I look forward to upcoming projects with him down south here as well as back in Santa Barbara if he's up for it his quality will fit right in up there with what the cliental expectsand high standards the client base expect in santa Barbara and like me Tom is hands on not the type of contractor who just sends workers and just shows up when it's time to pickup a check....as for his prices well it is a fair price for the quality and the pleasure of working with Tom.....Not to mention he is licensed insured etc. Tom like my self is not looking to get rich off one Job rather we know during these economic times things have changed and we have to change with it and like myself tom reflected that in His price, all these other subs heard I was from Santa Barbara and saw $$$$$ signs , somehow the general public has this conception all contractors have deep pockets , let me assure you it takes capital to make money and we have a lot tied up in Insurances , Bond's etc things the public has no idea about and although our cost have to adjust accordingly based on these economic times I can assure our Marerial's prices and labor expenses as well as insurance and bonds have only increased...So bottom line with Tom for a licensed Roofer and your protection your wasting time shopping around.
Rob gave me a very reasonable quote to help move several pieces of heavy exercise equipment from a bedroom into the garage of my house. I did not need a crew or a truck or special equipment, and I had already figured out how I wanted the move to go. Rob listened to my plan and fell right in with it. Working together, we were able to get the job done efficiently in a very short time. I was more than happy to pay him what he had quoted as the price for his labor, and I will keep his name on file for the future when I may have need of his services again.
Rick from Rick's Plumbing is a true professional. He asked the correct questions, quoted me a reasonable price for both parts and labor. Additionally, he showed up on time, performed the exact work agreed upon and was friendly. Its been 24 hours since he performed the work and there are no more plumbing issues.
He was very knowledgeable quick and seamless through his work . Very decent prices and 30-day warranty on parts and labor. He wouldn't charge me until he completed the repair. Will definitely re-hire when in need.
I explained the situation. he gave me a quote. he stuck to his quote. Labor+ parts. Came and fixed the problem. Wife happy. Garden happy. Pipes happy.. Tired of bloated plumbing estimates? I had spent over$300 just for repair estimates alone in a 2 week period. Mr.Lopez answered the call, solved my problems at a reasonable price. Thanks Carlos and Thumbtack.
Jaime did an excellent job replacing the deck. His bid was very reasonable and finished it on time. I bought all the materials and he just did the labor but he buys other stuff needed to keep the project going. He also gave advice on improving the design of the deck. I will definitely hire him again and recommend him to relatives & friends.

I am willing to do any kind of general (unskilled) labor as long as we agree that it is safe, legal, and ethical. I would charge a fair price and would do a thoroughly good job. I have a great eye for detail, and I am highly motivated to get things done quickly. I won't be sitting around.
