Wedding Ceremony & Reception Planning - Varies based on level of need. Consultation/details needed Private Party & Corporate Event Planning - $300 to plan out theme, hire vendors, secure rentals, create event schedule, inspiration board with ideas for games, party favors/gifts, and design for event invitation. Set-up/Breakdown of Event: including rental items, decor, food and beverage station and clean-up of event - Hourly Rate $15/hr. Day of Coordination - Hourly Rate $15/hr. Invitation Designs - Varies $8-$15/each
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for somebody that has experience doing what service you are looking for. You may be hesitant about hiring a professional that has only planned children birthday parties for your formal wedding and reception. Also, large parties are much more cumbersome than a small event so make sure your professional has experience planning that size of event.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
It is a very rewarding business to be in but it can become very time consuming. If you think the pricing is high, you have to remember all of the time and energy your planner is doing behind the scenes for your event to be perfect. There will be research and multiple drafts and proofs sent back and forth until a perfect end product is agreed upon. Being honest and open with your planner regarding your budget and not expecting them to do things for free is a huge thing to know and remember.
