It has been 8 months since my cleaning with Jeff and my carpets still look good! This is why I'm hiring him again before thanksgiving and all. The carpet was dry within 10 minutes the upholstery took a bit longer to dry but looked amazing. He was also very knowledgeable and when I followed his instructions to keep my carpets cleaned it worked. The spots and spills came out nice and easy. I have used steam cleaning and was not so happy it took 1-2 days to dry and it seemed like all the spots and spills came back. within a few weeks and wasn't as clean. If you need any cleaning in your home whether its carpet or upholstery Jeff is your guy!!!

Colby Rodriguez was hired to steam clean a four-bedroom apartment in Davis. He arrived early and fully prepared for the job. He was friendly, efficient, and did an excellent job. His prices are very reasonable, too. I highly recommend Rodriguez Cleaning!

I was able to schedule a cleaning at a time and day that fit my schedule. Marcus did a fantastic job getting the stains out and making the carpet look new again. I will be a repeat customer!

Victor did an excellent job on our commercial restaurant tile floors. The floors were in pretty rough shape and I was shocked at how well they looked after he was done. I will definitely be using Primo Steam Cleaning and Restoration for future projects.

I realized I had made a good choice when Kevin showed up. He was on time, very pleasant, explained what he was doing and why the method he used was better than steam-cleaning. I am a three cat household so hair even if one is diligent. The carpets look wonderful....almost like the day I moved in when they were new. And they feel good under my feet, soft. It did take a little longer to dry than I expected but not really a problem and one should expect SOME drying time.

Sparkling Clean! The windows he cleaned looked more like crystal than glass when he was done with them. We have windows above the 6' header up to about 10' tall that he handled with no issues. Amazing work! Besides delivering a quality job, Doug has a congenial personality -very pleasant. I would not hesitate to recommend Doug Bracy for window cleaning any day.

Had D&G General Labor do a complete exterior home painting job. This included power washing, prepping, painting and clean up. Also ended up replacing 2 exterior doors that were beyond repair. Osvaldo Huerta and his crew completed the job within the quoted time period and for the agreed cost. Good communications also.

All went really well. He arrived on time and did a small job very well. He didn't do one of the jobs because it turns out I need something different. He is helping me explore options. He has been an invaluable resource in helping me with cleaning carpets when I have a severe chemical sensitivity. Thank you, Dan. You are great. :)

We contracted to have couch, love seat and recliner cleaned. Was not real happy with the first cleaning . .think it was Victor but don't hold me to that. He did not pull out furniture nor did he pretreat. In his defense, he is a new employee. Todd came out the next day and did a FANTASTIC job at no additional cost. I would definitely recommend him. . .just think Victor needs a little more training.

Duane came to my home and moved a new dryer into my wash room. But first he had to install and connect the propane line. He was very efficient, cleaned up after himself and test it to make sure there was no leak. I will call him again for help on other projects I have around my home,

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

    What is upholstery cleaning?

From your carpets to your drapes to your furniture, all fabrics need to be cleaned. Cleaning upholstery, or the fabric on your furniture, removes the dirt and oils that are transferred to couches and chairs through regular use. Because furniture upholstery can be delicate and colors can fade easily, it’s often a good idea to let professional sofa cleaners handle the job. They’ll determine the type of fabric — usually cotton, linen, wool, suede or microfiber — and the appropriate method for cleaning it, either steam-cleaning or applying a dry-cleaning solvent. In general, cleaning an entire piece of furniture includes a pretreatment, cleaning, and neutralizing rinse to the body, plus removing and cleaning all cushions and cleaning all crevices.

An upholstery cleaner may clean the entire piece of furniture, on a regular schedule or by request, or do spot treatments to remove pet, food, drink, or oil and grease stains. Furniture can also be deodorized to remove the smell of pets or tobacco smoke. Furniture that’s used often, like that in your family room, should be cleaned once a year to keep it fresh and extend its life. Sofa cleaners often also offer repair services to mend tears in fabric or patch holes in leather.

How often should carpets be steam cleaned?

Dirty carpets can be unhealthy for the people living in the home, particularly those who have allergies, so it’s important to have them cleaned regularly; simply vacuuming once or twice a week isn’t enough. Carpet cleaning should be done by a professional carpet cleaning service at least once a year to remove grime and help extend the life of your carpet. Most carpet manufacturers recommend professional steam cleaning, which penetrates deep into the carpet fibers and lifts out both dirt and the pollutants that get tracked inside. Steam cleaning also removes most of the moisture, so carpets dry quickly enough for homeowners to resume using them the same day. Between professional carpet cleanings, your carpet may need an emergency spot cleaning. Pet accidents, food or drink spills, and more can often be effectively cleaned with some water and a drop of white vinegar, although many cleaners will also make house calls for smaller spills and hard-to-clean spots like wine or grease stains.

    Who cleans area rugs?

Like your carpets, area rugs should ideally be cleaned at least once a year to remove dust and dirt and help them last longer. In general, carpet cleaning professionals also clean area rugs. Some rug cleaners bring their cleaning equipment to your home, while others remove your area rugs and clean them at their facilities. Either way, the rug should be cleaned with the solution most appropriate to its specific fabric and construction. It should also be completely dry before you return it to the floor.

How much does it cost to clean a rug?

Area rugs are typically found in high-traffic areas of the home, like hallways and entryways, so they collect more dirt and stains than simple vacuuming can handle. Similar to carpet cleaning, professionals can come to your home to deep-clean your area rugs. The national average cost for rug cleaning ranges from $80 to $120, but may be higher or lower depending on the rug’s size and fiber type. Rug cleaners generally charge by the square foot; for example, a standard 8-foot by 10-foot rug costs an average of $100 to clean. Natural fiber rugs, such as wool or silk, are usually more expensive to have cleaned than synthetic rugs. A carpeting cleaning company may charge on average $1.50 per square foot to clean a synthetic rug, $2 per square foot for a wool rug, and $3 per square foot for a silk rug. Some delicate rugs need to be washed by hand, which increases the price. Carpet cleaning companies often offer additional services, such as removing odors or applying moth deterrent, which can add 20 cents to 25 cents per square foot.

    Who cleans couches?

Even if your furniture doesn’t appear dirty or stained, your couches are collecting just as much dust, pollen, germs, pet hair and dander, and even food crumbs as your carpets. In general, the same professionals who clean your carpets and drapes can also clean your couches. Carpet cleaners usually offer upholstery cleaning services as well, and may offer a discount if you have your carpets cleaned at the same time. Alternatively, you can choose from a range of professional upholstery cleaners in your area who specialize in cleaning different types of upholstery fabrics, including delicate antique fabrics and other hard-to-clean materials such as suede. In addition to deep-cleaning the entire piece of furniture, sofa cleaners can spot-treat food, pet, and oil and grease stains. Most professionals also offer services to sanitize and deodorize your furniture and apply protectants to prevent future stains. As with carpets, experts recommend that you have your upholstered furniture cleaned once every year or two, depending on how much use it gets and whether you have children and pets.
