Community Tap and Table

Introduction: Food lover meets craft beer expert, love strikes and beer bellies expand. Emily Baime and Darin Michaels met planning food events, Emily as the event planner, Darin handing sales for the beer distributor. The rest, as they say, is history. Two years later, they’ve founded “Community Tap and Table”, a hands on cooking class that hosts “Classes for Beer Bellies with a Cooking Problem”. Classes are held almost weekly and educate attendees on cooking with local, seasonal ingredients, and pairing their meal with craft American brews. Attendees learn knife skills, flavor profiles, cooking methods, and beer pairing. Proceeds from the classes benefit local non profits. Tap and Table is where the bar and the kitchen meet. Our vision is to elevate beer and food pairing from pub grub to a mainstream gourmet trend. We serve Sacramento, Stockton, and Lodi with gourmet, hands on cooking classes; supper clubs, beer dinners, and beer pairing expertise. Our fans describe us as their own private gastro pub. We use seasonal and gourmet products and have been very influenced by the slow food movement.
