Introduction: I learned to crochet at seven. I've been selling my work for nearly fifty years. I teach individual stitches, pattern reading, yarn selection and care, and use of accessories with the goal of the beginning student being able to read a pattern and make a simple piece of their choice after a maximum of three sessions. I teach beginning knitting and afghan crochet with a similar goal, and although I only teach beginning knitting, I teach intermediate crochet skills as well.
Polymer clay classes include instruction for conditioning, blending and modeling, and curing polymer clay. As polymer clay colors blend like paint, there is some instruction in color theory. Beginning classes are bead making and progress to work with armatures and mandrels.
Wire wrapping instruction familiarizes the student with different metals and gauge measurement, pattern reading and tool usage and grades.
I love to design and execute in a variety of media. I am playing in a very skillful way, and invite my students to acquire skills in a relaxed and playful way to unleash their creativity.
