FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All styles and arrangements are different prices depending on how many flowers and what types are used. Bouquets are almost always $90-110 for brides and $45-70 for bridesmaids. Just depends on the size and flowers involved...some take more time to put together. Other shops have minimums on their bouquets which start usually over $150 brides and $100 bridesmaids...I don't have that minimum...just work with the flowers. Grooms bouts are always free with the brides bouquet, then the other bouts are $8-$10ea. Corsages are $18-25 depending on the wristlet or pin on and the time to get them together. Centerpieces are hard to quote due to the size and different things that can be done to fit a budget. There are ways to use less flowers for a big effect by renting my tall vases, or just getting pretty and inexpensive vases. I have lots of ideas.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I constantly look online to see what other designers are doing in this industry. I order new books on designing and constantly refresh myself on flowers and colors that are in each season. My mom is also a designer...so I get feedback from her on what I can do with certain colors and flowers.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My mom is a florist and started teaching me to design when I was 13. I got out of high school and wanted to make money for college..so I went to work for a family friend who was a wedding florist. She taught me all about the industry and got my love for events going strong.
