- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been doing makeup for over 10 years now. My passion for the makeup and hair industry came about when I worked as a makeup artist/ beauty advisor for Fashion Fair Cosmetics at Macy's (Arden Mall- Sacramento). After leaving Fashion Fair, I then branched off and decided to do freelance work. I have now been doing Professional makeup for Proms, Weddings, Photo Shoots & various special events, for over 3 years now.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently had the pleasure of working on a photo shoot (Feb 2015). On this photo shoot I put together 4 different looks on 1 model. It was a great challenge, that I was very proud of. All looks were very glamorous & fashion forward. The pictures from this photo shoot made front cover of Zele Magazine & a 5 page spread (Spring issue 2015). This was my first magazine ad that my makeup work was showcased and was credited. I am so proud of myself & my team.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would suggest to new clients to please do your research. You want to look for professionalism, passion, creativity & someone who is diverse.
