I highly recommend Whole Person Fitness to everyone. Lily is first of all very nice. She is knows how to access my needs, fitness level, works with my limitations, prior injuries and physical weaknesses to put together a challenging, kick butt workout tailor made for me. In two and a half months I have gained strength, lung capacity, fitness, muscle, muscle tone, endurance, flexibility,confidence, and much more. I have lost the chronic knee pain, fatigue, inches. Lily, listens and gives me exercises that I never thought I could do, builds me up slowly. As a 60 + woman with chronic health issues I can say I am much healthier since finding Lily. Lily truly cares and overs wise nutritional counsel as well. I am blessed to have found Whole Person Fitness and Lily. If I can do it, you can too.
Matt is technically excellent. He has an important knowledge about the body and uses it in teaching and training. He seems to constantly educate himself about both fitness, training and nutrition. He also is a great guy. I always enjoy chatting with him.
Lynell and I have worked together for the past six months (and counting)! I have worked with other health coaches before and even professionally edited a holistic health coach book, but these coaches' knowledge pales in comparison to Lynell's knowledge and expertise. Lynell is very supportive and is very knowledgeable about health and fitness. However, she goes beyond just your average health coach that's out there. Her coaching comes from a psychological approach, including whole body wellness and stress management techniques, and the word "diet" (as in the starve yourself dieting to lose weight) does not exist when she works with you. She helps you create healthy habits from a goal-setting perspective that are both realistic and produce amazing results. As a result of working with Lynell, not only have I lost almost 20 pounds but I have more energy and feel more focused and organized in my life, especially with my career path. I'm a freelance copywriter who works from home and Lynell has really helped me to really hone into my career goals as well as my personal health and wellness goals. Lynell also has a background working with diabetic clients and is very knowledgeable about diabetes and how to be heart-healthy. She is dedicated to helping her clients prevent heart disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes. She has helped me focus on my sodium intake. In the past, I had issues with on-off again high blood pressure and with Lynell's help and assistance, I've been able to keep my numbers at a healthy range. There is a lot of confusion out there about nutrition and healthy eating and there is a LOT of misinformation on the internet. Lynell's approach is realistic and works in "real life." She doesn't set you up to fail and she's there every step of the way with you. Lynell concentrates on the basics of nutrition so you don't feel overwhelmed. She walks you step-by-step through the goal-setting process and encourages and supports you during each coaching session which gives me confidence and feels like I'm not alone in my health and wellness journey. I'm 44 years old and am dealing with perimenopausal symptoms. Lynell is very empathetic and has shared invaluable tips and information about the types of foods and nutrition I should focus on for healthy balanced hormones. As a woman, I feel like she really "gets" what I'm going through and really listens. I highly recommend working with Lynell. If you feel like you are spinning out of control and don't know how to get your health back on track or want to exercise but don't know where to start, definitely hire Lynell for her coaching sessions. She's an amazing coach and is a very positive and uplifting person who always see the bright side in every situation!
I have always been athletic and in shape until I had my kids within 13 months of each other. All mothers out there can relate to the enormous changes our bodies go through. I was not seeing results by running so I decided to give Vlad a try. Vlad helped me with a great macro program (fats/carbs/protein) in addition to a weekly workout. One month later Ive lost four inches around my waist and four inches everywhere else. My gains have just about doubled in every weighted exercise Ive been taught; my legs and butt are starting to look sculpted, and my upper body/back is really defined. Most importantly, my pelvic floor has been strengthened by 100%! Im amazed! Vlad has given me an excellent fitness program, strong nutritional guidance, and sincere encouragement. The workouts are different every time and he always shows me additional exercises to do on my own. Vlad is no doubt very passionate about his job and genuinely cares to give me the results I am looking for. Vlad explains why I am performing the exercise and shows me exactly which muscles are targeted. He immediately corrects my form and has given me additional corrective training stretches and exercises to implement as well. Vlad seems to be conscientious about my abilities/lack of abilities, and will adjust the workouts accordingly. Vlad is very professional and has a great knowledge of fitness, nutrition and trigger point therapy, which is amazing! I would highly recommend Vlad no matter what your circumstances are.
Elise-Anne was able to reach me on a layman level, and she related very, very helpful nutrition information on an intelligent level. By her reaffirming some ideas that I had about my diet, she proved that she at once apparently clairvoyant, and well versed i her subject matter.
Nsima is seriously a legit GREAT trainer. Don't let his stern appearance fool you, he is a friendly giant lol. I assure you he is 100% NATURAL. He works really hard for what he wants and it shows. He knows what he is doing and knows what is he talking about, very KNOWLEDGEABLE for sure! He is all about FORM, FORM, FORM and of course nutrition! I 100% completely recommend him whether you are trying to lose weight, gain weight, tone, or compete in shows. He is very supportive and understanding. He is also very flexible. If something comes up and you can't make a session, he is very lenient as long as you give him at least a 24hr notice. He provides a breakdown of macros (i like his program because you can pretty much eat whatever you want as long as it fits your macros numbers), what it means in regards to your body and how each workout benefits each muscle group. He provides workout regiments catered to his gym and as well as other commercial gyms if you can't make it to the gym that he trains at. Another thing about Nsima is that he is not like most personal trainers-he talks to you with respect and patience and does not think he is above you. He actually cares about your gains and losses and will also go over what it is that is preventing you from both. He pushes you to do better in each workout and if you can't, no problem! He will adjust the workout to what you can do so there is no pressure of "failing" with him. He rather you do it safely in correct form at a lighter weight and less reps/sets than do heavy weights at an incorrect form. He gives great advice and tips generously and is easily accessible via phone, email, and/or in person. He is also budget friendly. His rates for in person training and online training is WAY cheaper than most trainers who charge around $100+ for a 1 HOUR session only. I was training with him for about 3-4 months and saw a noticeable change in my problematic areas such as abs and triceps. If it weren't for such a busy schedule this year I would still be with him. I cannot wait until I can train with him again! =)
My experience with HD performance was outsanding. I was given personal guidance from Davie as I made my way through my journey of losing weight. I felt like he truly cared about my goals and progress. His knowledge in nutrition/diet and exercise is impressive. I have now lost 50 lbs under Davies direction and I couldn't be happier. Adrian Kennedy has been a positive motivation. He has helped with my eating habits, showing me where I was lacking in my nutrition, plus, with extra work with my drop back, footwork, and range of throwing motion. Mark comes to my home 3 days a week for one hour each day. The workouts I get in that hour are fantastic! We have only been training for one month and my strength, endurance and body composition have improved substantially. He not only trains you, he also educates you regarding nutrition.
