Introduction: Saint Helena Wine Tours is operated and owned locally by Barbie and Ken Slavens. Ken was born and raised in Saint Helena; in 1976, he brought Barbie to the area. Ken prides himself on his wide knowledge of the Napa Valley and its "behind-the-scenes" history. He has a strong sense of giving back to his community. He ran for mayor in 1994 and served three terms. Ken continues his work to improve the valley. Currently, he serves as trustee on the Napa County Office of Education board. Winemaking is another pastime that Barbie and Ken have taken up, enlisting their family members to create some great merlots and cabernet sauvignons.
