Matt teaches my my daughter the guitar and me the piano in our home. He's patient and adjusts the teachings based on the learner. We've been working with Matt for several months now. He started with my daughter, and now I am taking lessons. I recommended him to my neighbor who is also taking guitar lessons, so of course I would recommend him to anyone looking for lessons.
Kenny interviewed me and helped me find a comfortable beginning into the world of music. I thought I was going to take guitar lessons; instead, he taught me music with a bit of guitar to go along, and opened up a whole new world of pleasure. Unfortunately for me, I haven't found time to get back to the structured lessons but I play every day because of the things Kenny taught me. I can't imagine a better, or more fun way to learn, than to sit with Kenny and give it a shot.
I started taking guitar lessons from D.D. a couple of months ago and have learned so much from him in the short period of time. He's a great teacher, with a lot of patience. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who's interested in taking up the guitar.
Great guitar teacher. Friendly, works out of his home. We started lessons a few months ago. He's teaching note reading.
Chris is a fantastic instructor, really knows guitar and how to teach. I am an aspiring flamenco player while Chris is classical, and he went above and beyond to study the flamenco techniques himself so he could teach them to me. Ive learned more in a few lessons with him than 6 months trying to learn by myself.
My name is Thomas. I've been playing guitar for over 15 years now. I want to teach students to play what they want while also learning the basic fundamentals of guitar. If they want to learn their favorite pop song I'm going to teach them it, if they want to become an amazing guitar player I will teach them how to become that as well.

Hi everyone, I am a multi-instrumentalist offering beginner/intermediate guitar, bass and drum lessons for students of all ages in the South Bay area. Many studies show that learning a musical instrument helps improve performance on cognitive tasks, increases the capacity of your memory, fosters your self-expression, boosts your self-confidence, relieves stress and above all else is fun! I am 27 years old and have been involved with various bands and session gigs throughout the Bay Area. I have been playing drums for over 16 years and have approximately 11 years of experience with guitar and bass. I have had many great experiences over the years in teaching music to friends and family. I recently began offering my music instruction services professionally and have had a lot of success with students as young as 7 and as old as 56. My lessons are structured based on your level of experience and musical tastes. I find that it is more fun and effective to integrate music lessons with a student's favorite music. You will not only be learning how to play an instrument but will also learn how to play some of your favorite songs along the way! After a few of my beginner guitar/bass lessons, you will be able to learn the following: Identify and play basic chords Use different beginner guitar/bass techniques such as bends, hammer-ons and tremolo picking Perform basic maintenance of your instrument such as tuning by ear and restringing your guitar/bass Read and interpret guitar/bass tablature Ultimately, my goal with every student is to help make music a lifetime hobby for them. I understand that learning a new instrument can be very intimidating for some people; instead of focusing on more complex topics like scales and music theory, my aim for beginners is to help build up their confidence by teaching fun songs, iconic riffs, fun beats and cool techniques that show immediate results. I offer one-hour instruction of the instrument of your choice (guitar, bass or drums) for $35. This is a flat rate, and I will not charge extra if you have friends or family who would like to learn alongside you during our lessons! Guitar/bass lessons can be taught either at your home, my apartment or a place of your choosing (i.e. coffee shop, park, etc). Drum lessons can only be taught at your home. I have extra guitars that you can use for the duration of our lessons if needed. Please shoot me an e-mail if you are interested, so we can discuss your availability, level of experience and music tastes. Thanks!
My goal as a teacher is to figure out how each student thinks and learns in order to increase their skill and enjoyment of music in a way that is fun, challenging, and interesting to them as an individual.

Given, there are tedious hills to overcome as an aspiring guitarist, but I'll be there to help you through this and straight to the fun stuff in a timely manner.

I was also very lucky to have the best teachers when I started to learn guitar, as well into classical or in electric guitar. To meet some of the best guitar players can change your mind and change the way you teach. Since, I am dedicated to bring to my students what I had the chance to learn and I do it with passion.
