The best part of working with Angela is that she is very careful about teaching you in the simplest way possible. As an International student junior in computer science classes in college, I had a hard time understanding the lectures in class, so i would get weekly tutoring from Angela. She is not like an irresponsible tutor who will just tell you how to solve your homework and be done. Instead, she asks you a lot of questions and leads you to think until you get the right answer. It is really awesome. Also, Angela's bilingual teaching is great. She is very fluent in Chinese and we mostly used Chinese in class because I am a Chinese international student.

About

I have taught school for many years. I am familiar with the common core standards and entrance and exit standards of specific grade levels. It is all about helping the student improve and thereby boost his/her self-esteem and confidence in the areas in which I tutor them. As a teacher, I had tremendous test scores. Four of my five "children" (now adults) have received the presidential academic award. I attended very difficult college prep school prior to college which provided me with stellar skills. I have had several years of Latin, French, and Spanish, as well as the usual repertoire of subjects.

About

Are you ready to take your studies to the next level and get the grades you want? Then you're ready for tutoring with me. I have tutoring experience in public speaking, ESL, Spanish, and study skills. I specialize in these areas as well as math up through precalculus, writing, and all areas of the SAT. Before we meet, we have a free 30-minute consultation on the phone to discuss what your needs are, the best times for us to meet, how often you would like to meet, and how many lessons you want. Then we schedule your first lesson, which is free, as well to make sure that we are the best fit for your needs, with no risk to you. I received a 3.9 high school GPA from Bellarmine College Preparatory, and scored a 2200 on the SAT, with an 800 in Writing, 650 in Math, and 750 in Verbal. I graduated with a 3.6 college GPA from the University of Southern California. At USC, I majored in Neuroscience and minored in Spanish. I combine deep academic knowledge with strong tutoring skills. I believe that there is no such thing as a person who is "not good" at something. Everyone can improve with practice and feedback, and that is what I'm here to provide.

About

Hello, I am a current university student at University of the Pacific. I am working towards a biological sciences major as part of the predental program. Right now, I am taking a semestral leave in order to study for certification exams and am looking to take this opportunity to help any student or individual who may need assistance in biology, chemistry, physics, math, English, and SAT or otherwise general study skills. My academic focus is very much life science-oriented, and I am most confident in teaching in those areas up to introductory college levels. In explaining the numerical details of my academic background, I have graduated from high school with a GPA of 3.75 and SAT scores of R: 690, W: 750, and M: 800. I have taken the following AP courses: Computer Science AB, Calculus BC, Physics C, Japanese, biology, U.S. History, and statistics, receiving a score of five in all but statistics (4). At the university, I am currently a junior with a GPA of 3.32. I have tutored at various levels, from middle school students to my university peers, at different environments. I have tutored in a classroom environment, working to help the students in conjunction with a lecturer. I have also tutored my university peers after recommendation from my professor, allowing me to build and lecture my own curriculum in a weekly session. Since I am simply taking time off from the university to study at my pace for an exam, I am extremely flexible in schedule and available every day. I look forward to working with you. Thank you. Joon
