FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually charge upfront for diagnostic service call. Then estimate the repair cost based on parts price and my labor. My cost is usually the same unless traveling out of my local work area. I try to reach everyone who calls with a need. Especially when the customer has already been unsuccessful with their area local repair tech. They may be overwhelmed by the big prices of big companies. It can be frustrating for some. Many customers are without extra funds. Who wants to hand over $500 spare dollars for maintenance check ups?
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Always learning and studying schematics of the newest appliances and needed tools for the latest models. We are always using opportunities to watch tutorials and online searching for updated information.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My uncle had an appliance shop. So as a young man I found interest in his repair work and observed that as something I not only loved but was very good at . So I went for training and pursued the appliance repair business as my life choice career.
