Paul is amazing!!!! He is so patient and supportive as an instructor. So pleased with my decision to hire Paul. He has a great relationship with my 6 year old and I am confident in his ability to teach her how to play the guitar. Paul is so awesome that I decided to take guitar lessons as well! Looking forward to making music with my daughter!!! Thank you Paul!!!
We found Sid on Thumbtack and he has been giving guitar lessons to myself and my two kids for last 18 months. He is super great with the kids and an awesome teacher. Would highly recommend.
I have been a student with Kimberly for ten years. I have been taking blues guitar lessons from her weekly. Kim is extremely professional. She tailors her teaching to the students interest and playing style. She is very patient and often goes the extra mile to help students progress. I have been a dedicated student because of this. I have had the pleasure of playing guitar with some of her other students in ensemble classes who all give her praise for the way she conducts business and teaches her classes. I highly recommend Kimberly Allison of Starliner music to anyone wishing to develop their skills in music.
Omar was a great teacher who made each lesson challenging but fun at the same time. I learned a lot from him in a short time about finger picking and chord progressions, and he introduced me to a lot of perfect songs to learn on guitar that I wouldn't have known otherwise.
Jimmy is a great teacher and I am learning a ton from him. I highly recommend him to anyone interested in guitar lessons and he is great with beginners like me!
Matthew is very knowledgeable an knows how to bring the information down to my level, very basic, step by step, which is exactly what I needed. He also challenges me to go beyond what I think I am capable of and I surprise myself. I am excited about my progress and can't wait to see what the year holds. I would highly recommend Matthew for beginning to advanced guitar. Thank You, Matthew
Chris is a wonderful guitar/music teacher and has inspired my daughter's beginning guitar playing. She really looks forward to each lesson and they share a mutual love of music.
At the age of 9 my son Julian started to take group guitar lessons from Pat. After that session I ask Pat if he does private lessons, he said yes but its at La Puente. So from Chino Hills I took my son to La Puente every Saturday for the next 5 years. He is very good with kids and I highly recommend him. My son now 18 enjoys writing songs & performing.
Great guitar instructor who teaches you notes, different strumming techniques, picking, how to read music and is a wealth of knowledge on music of all kinds and is very personal and will adjust to what you would like to learn. I would highly recommend Mark to anyone wanting to learn guitar or master it.
It's only been a few weeks since I began experiencing Dan's teaching, but, right away, I knew he'd be the perfect fit. He is not only clearly knowledgeable and experienced but exudes passion and really loves what he's doing, which makes me love learning to play guitar even more. With his help, I'm confident that my skills will continue to increase and I encourage anyone to let Dan prove this to you in person.
Luciano is devoted to teaching music and understanding music. He is patient and encouraging. I really enjoyed my lessons with him and I would highly recommend him to anyone who asks me. I look forward to studying classical guitar with him again when my schedule becomes less hectic. Jean Powell
Steve is a wonderful teacher. When I started lessons I had been playing for a while but I needed guidance on where to go from just basic chords and strumming patterns. Steve tailored my lessons to the genres I wanted to study while giving me exercises that would better my study no matter what direction I chose to go. We even started coupling the guitar lessons with banjo lessons! Steve is well versed in so many genres and instruments and on top of that, he is a friendly, patient and fun person who communicates well and is easy to get along with.
Kevin is the best guitar teacher out there who gave me the tools I needed to go on to be a Music Major. He works with your goals as a starting or experienced musician and explains and helps with everything so well. He goes out of his way and really made guitar lessons a highlight of my day. HIGHLY recommended!
I am taking acoustic guitar lessons from Laura online. Laura is extremely good and effective in teaching. Also she inspires her students to practice and enjoy playing Guitar. Her teaching method is very clear and intuitive. She also provides good material for practice. She is very friendly and always willing to help. I am completely new to Guitar, but I feel very confident that I will be able to play and enjoy guitar with Laura's help. I highly recommend her for Guitar lessons.
Juan is awesome and really seems to love the art of teaching. He can explain a technique and then play examples on his guitar. Just my first lesson but I really am looking forward to the next one !!!
Keith teaches my son beginning guitar lessons and has been great. He is patient and really individualizes our lessons for my sons specific needs. He brings hand outs which is great-my son can practice on his own, and if we ever forget something or can't figure out how to play something he is very open to questions anytime.
We are so lucky to have met such an outstanding, caring and friendly music teacher. Kelly Apgar and her wonderful array of instructors make music lessons fun and enjoyable for my three daughters, who take piano, guitar and, voice lessons. Within months of taking music lessons, my daughters were reading music and playing songs! An added benefit to working with Elite Musique is that they prepare students for passing the Royal School of Music exams. Kelly and her staff are nurturing and patient with their students. Kids learn how to play an instrument while developing the love of music!
Very knowledgeable guitar instructor.
I have been with Bella Music Studios for five years now, and cannot begin to describe what a wonderful experience I've had with everyone there. I've been with various studios and teachers and theater troupes before, and none of them have felt more like a legitimate family than Bella Music Studios. The owner, Jo Ann Maddalena, is the kindest person you could ever hope to meet. She wrote me a beautiful reference letter when I applied (and got into) a performing arts school in Hollywood. I've had two different vocal teachers there (April Orchard and Jean Carlos Lopez) and both of them were patient and talented and made me a better performer than I ever was before. I've had such a wonderful experience at Bella that Jo Ann recently decided I was ready to try teaching voice there myself! I'm still new to it, but I've had one client there, and it's been so rewarding. I practically lived at Bella Music Studios for three summers, and it's like a second home by now. I was in three shows with their theater troupe, and they were all professional level performances that I had so much fun doing. Bella Music Studios is a fantastic place, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality, well-priced music lessons of any kind for any age. Whether you're looking for voice, piano, guitar, trumpet, etc. you're getting the best of the best here.
Awesome place for kids to learn and master the art of music... My daughter took guitar, piano and voice lessons... Unfortunately we had to move and she can no longer attend... I wish they would open a location near Riverside so my daughter could continue with her art education... If you're looking for professional and affordable music classes for your kids then Piano Place Music and Arts Center is the right place for them. I am happy that my daughter had the opportunity to be a student at this family owned music school and I hope she can come back in the near future..... Beautiful family and very nice/professional teachers!

I'm a touring pro player in town offering guitar coaching and stage performance in the LA area. I'm also a recording acoustic folk and blues artist. Playing the guitar can be looked at as somewhat challenging. You have to both form the notes and clearly play them at the same time. If you can play three chords and variations thereof proficiently, then you can play thousands of songs. If you know four chords well, you can just about rule the world. Okay, if you are new to the guitar and really want to play, I will quite competently show you how to play every major chord and a few variations during your first session, and yes, you will be able to then play thousands of songs shortly thereafter. True, it's not about what you know to do with the guitar that makes a good musician but rather the emotion of what you and the instrument can express together. I have been touring and recording professionally for about 20 years, having done over 1,200 shows as well as workshops at major festivals, concert halls, colleges, various acoustic venues, radio and television across North America and parts of Europe. I have been playing the guitar for more than 40 years. Study the guitar with me, and in a few short sessions, you will be on your own discovering new chord progressions, lead guitar technique improvisation and more. I am not really interested in working with students who just want to learn to strum but rather a student regardless of age, who wants to use the instrument as an expression, playing and interpreting music, so a song becomes your own. These sessions will include your participation and a lot of interaction with the instructor, and if you would like, you will learn just so much about the guitar and performance technique. How do you get the audience involved in your show? How do you make your music land, not just heard? We only need to spend perhaps 5 to 6 lessons together to get you out of the gate and exploring further on your own. We'll work on finger picking technique, alternative tuning, chord variations and expressions and playing by ear. We'll see where you want to go and what you want to do. Let's start now. A rather small investment will bring years and years of joy through music!
