Their customer service was great! Not only were they timely in their response, but they were very thorough in answering my questions and addressing my concerns. We are the largest private event company in San Diego and when discussing in an operations meeting an upcoming event with one of our photographers we mentioned our need for some drone shots. He suggested Thumbtack. We posted and within an hour or two we had 4-5 offers. We choose the operator who seemed to match what we needed and with a price in the middle of those offering. On the day of the event everything seemed to go well enough. The photographer showed up with his drone, we directed them to the shot location and the drone operator began to take photos. Here is where things broke down. The operator wanted to be paid in cash even though we had a check available for them and again as mentioned are the largest event company in San Diego (doing business for over 25 years). This we understood and had no issue with it since some of our smaller vendors like cash for their own piece of mind. The following day we began to reach out to the photographer via telephone, texting, email, messaging, facebook, etc. and as of this moment have had no reply and no pictures forwarded to us. Thumbtack listed this provider as a "top level provider" when in fact they have just disappeared. We even offered to the photographer that we have events throughout the entire year and would like to review having him work on other projects. I am sad to say that our company will not post with Thumbtack again and suggest Thumbtack remove this provider from bidding on future projects.
