Cindy was incredibly helpful with my first time ordering a custom engagement ring. I gave her a few ideas and she helped me decide which options would guarantee me a beautiful, durable and quality engagement ring at an incredible value. This kind of customer service and insight only comes with years of work in custom jewelry design. I would recommend her to anyone.

Nancy worked with me to develop the logo and website for my small private practice. She is incredibly talented, and worked tirelessly to make sure I was happy with the end result. Nancy was very easy to work with. She listened intently to my ideas and my vision, and explained important design principles to help me understand what I needed to emphasize in these products. She was great at giving me guidance, especially when I started to go off the rails with my ideas; but when I insisted on certain elements, she found a way to work my ideas into a coherent design. Nancy was very professional throughout the process, and met all her timelines. I absolutely love my logo and website, and could not have asked for a better designer. I highly recommend her services, and invite you to check out her work at www.cvpanaderomd.com.

I had a vision of letterpress for all of our event stationery and I was lucky enough to be referred to Xenia @ Paper Bash through a trusted source and she delivered more than I could have asked for! She designed & made our Save the Dates JUST perfect, never flinching at my odd preferences or over-attention to detail. After that process, I knew our wedding invitations were going to be nothing short of stunning - and I was right. From the paper options & quality that she curated, to her fine tuned aesthetic and balance on design, font usage and even invaluable help on some wording conundrums I was having ... I can't imagine a better person to work with. Every single save the date, invitation, insert, etc. were impeccable and 100% representative of us and the tone of our wedding. I received phone calls from all generations of guests - what is this paper?! The quality! I have never received a more luxe invitation! How did you afford these?! Who did you have to call in a favor to?! The compliments were endless. Xenia herself is a letterpresser of glory. She did everything I wanted (and more!), and was a VERY good communicator which was imperative! Best of all, your finished product is like nothing else, because it is custom for YOU! I cannot recommend her enough and look forward to utilizing her services in the future!

Working with DreamQ was great! I needed a new website and fresh corporate look for my small business. The website looks fantastic- clean, modern and works great on mobile devices. Even better, was that in addition to building my new website they also offered to do all our graphic design, logo design and content writing. I ended up having them do everything because I love streamlining all my work through one company- much more convenient than having to find several different companies. The quality of their work looked amazingly professional- and so much better than my original work! I spent a bit more than I planned, but was very impressed with the outcome.

About

Experience makes a difference when it comes to designing print ads, postcards, brochures, and logos and naming your business or even your business cards. With the right designer, you can get to the right design for your need quickly and effectively. With more than 15 years of experience working in advertising and graphic design at big agencies and freelancing everywhere, from small non-profits to gigantic tech companies, I can bring that experience. My greatest expertise is in print, but I spent time at one of the largest interactive shops in the world as an art director and I've creative directed corporate and eCommerce sites as well. If interactive needs are there, as well as print, I have access to strong people to work with on those projects, too. Tight budgets and the need for fast turnaround are the reality more and more in the advertising and design industry, and with experience, I bring a cool-headed approach that brings projects in on time and on budget. I have current industry standard equipment and state-of-the-art software. I'm adept at working with presses and publication and would be happy to help with negotiation on printing, if you need it. I'm used to finding creative solutions to clients with tight budgets, and I can turn projects around on deadline. I'm working on current Mac hardware and running the latest OS, with the most current versions of professional-level graphics software (these days, that means Adobe Creative Suite 3, 4, and 5). Take a look at some of my work, and let's talk.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What makes a good logo design?

A good logo is an easily identifiable, memorable image that represents your brand. A good logo design aligns with your business model and expresses your company’s core values. A good logo design is simple, appealing, and easy for customers and viewers to quickly process. Some of the key components of a great logo are type, color palette and design. The scale, font and arrangement of the text you select will all make a difference in the feel and representation of your brand. A graphic designer will help you home in on the colors that best represent your identity and help you keep the color palette simple. The design of your logo includes the shapes you select and the way the color and type are arranged together. Investing in the services of a professional to create your logo design is likely a smart investment for any size business. Nationally, the average price range for a logo designer ranges from $170 to $250.

How much does it cost to create a logo?

Logo design is an important part of your company’s brand development. More than an image with text and color, a logo communicates the tone and personality of your company to your potential customers. Hiring a graphic designer with an appealing portfolio and quality reviews is a solid start to creating a winning logo design. The cost to create a logo can depend on how in-depth the marketing and design services you request are. Designers can create one logo in multiple formats (horizontal, vertical, etc.) to fit both your website and social media platforms, they can create a variety of designs for clients to select from, or they can create multiple logos for one client who needs branding for more than one venture. Logos may be text-only, text and image, or image-only. Many designers and design firms charge by the hour for their services, while other companies offer packages bundled with design services. Here are some examples of cost:

  • National average cost to hire a logo designer: $170-$250.
  • Average hourly rate for a freelance marketing consultant: about $150.
  • Tiered pricing for logo design packages from one firm:
    • Package One: $200 for three logo concepts, three rounds of revision, and a variety of format and color end designs.
    • Package Two: $350 for 10 logo concepts, unlimited rounds of revision, and a variety of format and color end designs.
    • Package Three: $550 for everything included in the Package Two, plus business card design, letterhead design, social media graphics and an email signature.
    • Package Four: $850 for everything in the Package Three, plus custom brand guidelines, which outline a strategy for creating a consistent branding in the client’s business.
Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
