My 15-year-old son has been taking MMA lessons from him. My son loves it. Margo is very patient and always positive. My son seems to be learning a lot. Margo also set him up with a diet and workout plan that my son has been following.
I have been taking martial arts lessons at Full Potential Martial Arts for several months now. I love the practical self defense that is being taught. It is something that I can use right away! The instructor, Brian, is extremely knowledgeable, and goes out of his way to help everyone learn. Class normally starts with conditioning exercises, and it is a great workout. I highly recommend!
Carlos cares training people to defend themselves - he always goes above and beyond in reviewing and adding in extra lessons as well. His brother Omar is also greatly is appreciated; being the guinea pig and taking the brunt of much practice from neophytes. I highly recommend this course, and plan on going through it again.
Mr Hall came into my studio to give a self defense demonstration to my students. The lesson was educational and very detailed. He did an excellent job explaining the concept of each applications. I walked away learning quite a bit in only 1 session.
I have had the honor and pleasure of training with Sifu Nick Wright for the better part of the last 10 years. He and I both have trained extensively in Choy Lay Fut Kung-Fu and given that background, I know him and the subject matter very well. It is with that in mind that I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend him as an instructor; so much so that I have brought him my own daughters to train with him. He has a both depth of understanding and the ever so rare and precious ability to verbally communicate that understanding in a way that is straightforward and easy to understand. Sifu Nick maintains a balanced blend of attention to detail while not getting bogged down in technicalities that would otherwise hinder growth, which I think is especially important when working with kids or adults.
Sensei Ali Jafari is an excellent martial art trainer. He has been my martial art instructor for the past twenty years during which not only I have learned karate techniques and instructions, I have also learned many life lessons from him. His patience, enthusiasm, and willing to teach are among many positive qualities that he demonstrates on a consistent basis. He is exceptionally patient with children and individuals who may not learn as quickly as other student. Sensei Jafai is is extremely knowledgeable in Shotkan Karate, Taekwondo, and using weapons in martial art. Sensei Jafari always brings energy and positive attitude to the class. He often finds a balance between paying attention individually to the highest ranked students as well as the lowest rank person. Sensei Jafari is very observant and cares about every individuals progress. He is well informed about what specific and detail areas a student needs to work on in order to be successful in Karate and other areas of life.
I love this dojo! its clean, fully equipped and matted. Not like some others schools in the area that just train on carpet and use hard flooring. Blisters on the feet from carpet burns are not fun. Duarte Shotokan teaches Real Karate from a traditional lineage and it is a safe place to train, especially for kids. All the instructors and assistants are very kind and caring too. I have been in class for a few weeks already and I love the intense workouts and practical self defense lessons that are taught. I would recommend Duarte Martial arts Academy to anyone looking for a fun, safe and caring dojo.
I started boxing lessons with Chuck about 8 months ago. With no prior boxing or martial arts experience, I had no idea what to expect when walking into a boxing gym. I started my search online, looking at reviews and prices. Luckily, I decided to try out Classic Boxing Coach and struck gold. Although not fancy or over-the-top, the gym has all the equipment one would need (at least from what I can tell). It's never too crowded but also never lacks energy. All of the other trainers and members that I have met have been warm and welcoming, always willing to chat or share a funny story. When walking into a boxing gym for the first time ever, I expected an intimidating, intense, and cold competitive environment; yet this gym offers a hard-training atmosphere with only positive vibes and good spirits. Chuck is an amazing trainer. I think the best thing about his training is his positive and energetic attitude. He is one of those people who is always present in the moment. He puts his focus and attention onto whomever he is training. He brings in the perfect blend of mental and physical toughness. Chuck explains the sport both philosophically and technically, while still putting the athlete through hard physical workouts. The training experience at Classic Boxing Coach comes with a great balance between training and fighting. There is enough sparring to create excitement and anxiety (if one chooses to spar), but not so much that each week is an all-out fierce battle with other members. Overall, I've had an incredible experience so far at this gym. I've learned the technical aspects of boxing, had great and grueling workouts, and had some good battles in the ring. Chuck is a great coach and an even better person. He always puts the clients first. I highly recommend this gym for anyone thinking about starting boxing or switching gyms.
Coach Andre is the best boxing coach I've had. He works well with everybody making sure that they understand the basics of boxing such as footwork, head movement, proper punching, and conditioning. Whether you're just wanting to try something new or already have a lot of boxing experience and want to fight this is a great gym to be a part of!
I was incredibly impressed when I started training under coach Pammy and I highly recommend her as a coach, she is an outstanding and very technical coach with great knowledge of the sport, as well as many years of professional experience. Classes are always very technical and I always get an amazing workout and learn new things every class. She is constantly there to help you and push you to do better and brings great positive energy to the class, If you do something wrong she will correct you, make sure you are focused, and show you the correct way just as any great coach would. Whether you are looking to compete or just get a good workout in Coach Pammy will push to make you better everyday and is more than willing to help you Exceed your goals.
BJJ Unlimited is an incredible place for Jiu Jitsu training. The level of competition keeps me excited, the environment is very friendly and humble, and the level of instruction is wonderful. Andrew of BJJ Unlimited has truly put a great team together. It's a growing team of mainly purple, blue, and white belts, so you can join and not feel like you're always going to get clobbered by these experts. The space in the gym is probably the best part about it -- there is enough room for everyone to practice without fear of getting slammed by other people practicing too close together. It is a very safe environment to learn and ask questions, and it's a great workout. You've gotta try this place... I've been to a lot of BJJ studios and I've never been happier at BJJ unlimited.
daniel c smyles more than 25 year Master in the Art of kung fu toa.he started his training 38years ago.
I provide authentic and practical instruction of combat and self-defense skills. Note, I do not do BJJ or the MMA hype. That is a sport. What I focus on is geared towards fighting for you life.
I incorporate all forms of fitness in my session. Weights, cardio, crossfit, and my favorite an introduction to boxing fundamentals.
I have been self defense teacher for United Studios and a professional martial artist for many years, both as a kids and adults teacher. I specialise in communications so I can teach in ways nobody else can. But I teach more than martial arts. I also teach how to properly use electronics that people don't usually know how to utilize to the best that the manufacturer meant it to be capable of. That includes teaching photography, computer and tablet lessons, and more.
I am passionate about teaching and about the material I am teaching. I also have flexible hours and offer fairer prices than most other instructors as I put teaching and developing a positive group of students over profit.
I teach self-defense. I work on firearms, weapons, and tactics. I'm Marine Corps trained. I've been in martial arts for about 30 yr. I've been rated number-one state champion in weapons for over 6 yr. I am 1990 international champion and rated top three in the nation. I teach krav mega, Kenpo and my other arts and weapons also.
I was an amateur and professional boxer with over 100 fights. I'm looking to start showing people how to box.
