Oh my. There are not enough stars for how perfect this private chef dinner was. From the first contact chef Boris and Carolina were so very attentive and lightening fast responders. Carolina is the most organized and sets your mind at ease that no detail will be forgotten or left out. I never worried they would execute our requests to perfection. She's is calming and a can do yes person. Pricing is beyond fair. The food was beautiful. The presentation was contemporary and current. The taste was spot on and no one left a bite on a plate. 10 star flavors and service. Left the place spotless. I have not one thing I would edit. It is so nice knowing before the event even begins you are in good hands. The attention Carolina gives sets all your worries free so chef Boris can come in and just hit it out of the park while you and guests sip cocktails.
I have been searching for someone i could trust who could make my daughters unicorn cake for her first birthday (im a very picky person). I was going to do a little photoshoot of my daughter smashing the cake. Im so happy i found Millie she went above and beyond to make sure she knew exactly want i wanted on the cake. It was all a last minute thing and im happy she was able to make it for me, she delivered the cake to me and the minute i saw the cake i knew i finally found someone who can make all my future cakes and pastries. I highly recommend Chef Renee and the Luscious Bites team for all your catering needs. We recently had our Annual Corporate Sales Meeting and had multiple Sales Reps visiting California for the week. After weeks of planning and setting up a few evening events to entertain our Reps, we found out 5 days before one of the events that the original plan was no longer going to work. In a last-minute mad dash to throw together a themed dinner party we asked around for recommendations and the moment I spoke with Jessica and received the menu I knew I found the right company. Best decision we made was to hire them. Chef Renee and her team made everything so streamlined and simple on our end. We literally picked the food and they handled everything else. From set up to break down to clean up, we did NOTHING!!! Which was a nice change since we usually do EVERYTHING. Not only did they accommodate us with regards to our time sensitive needs, They also were great at helping us choose the best menu to fit our Polynesian theme. Their pricing was more than reasonable esp. for all she and her team did to provide such a great atmosphere with such great food. AND THE FOOD IS GREAT, phenomenal is even a better word to describe the choices for our dinner party. We took all the reps to the Cayman Islands one year for this meeting and can you believe I got more compliments and rave reviews about our Laguna Beach event then I did about being on an ISLAND. It is all attributed to Chef Renee's food and her team's service. All in all, the event went off without a hitch. Thanks so much again to Chef Renee and her team. Jennifer was a consummate professional. She arrived on time each day with a smile and ready to teach 3 wonderfully spirited young girls. She had patience and showed kindness to the girls and taught them how to bake very difficult pastries and a cake that you would find in a professional bake shop or patisserie. We were very pleased and would use Jennifer again.
What a pleasure to have Chef Francoise Brana at my home to prepare one of the best dinners for a very picky group of foodies. Thanks to her menu and beautiful presentation my dinner party was 5*****+ Add that to her bubbly personality the evening was a WOW!!
Ashley made the cake for my wedding - a tall task for some, but not for her. To say she knocked it out of the park would be an understatement. First of all the cake - this thing was the simplest, elegant, and most beautiful piece of work in pastry form that I've ever seen and tasted. Ashley's passion for her craft really shines through in her work (see the picture). And second of all the professionalism - Ashley is one bad-@$$ pastry chef, and she is an absolute joy to work with. Super responsive, super helpful, super sweet, super down-to-earth. I can't recommend Ashley enough. 6 stars!
Chef Marckende was amazing! He came up with an incredibly creative menu (all vegan/vegetarian) with dumplings, potstickers, ramen, and an amazing chocolate, strawberry, blueberry layer cake. He was very responsive in the planning process, even coordinating the on-site setup/visit the night before because we were celebrating a birthday with a group of friends at an AirBnb. Couldn't have imagined a better dining experience for celebrating a birthday with the group of 11. He was very professional, came with all of the necessary supplies, took care of service and clean-up. If you're looking to choose a chef for an event, you're missing out if you don't choose Chef Marckende. He'll create a memorable meal and take care of all the details so you don't have to even think about doing anything else other than enjoying a great meal with great company.
Kevie is a gifted pastry chef whose modern desserts showcase her unique experience. She prepared a beautiful dessert bar table for a large event of 600+ people that our company was sponsoring. I've been to several events where Gerald was the main chef that catered and executed the event. His work is meticulous in the kitchen, and his food is excellent. His pastries are incredible and he even makes vegetarian dishes! Every encounter I've had with him has been great. The food is always made to perfection.
We hired Brian to cook for a group of 22 for our friends 30th B'day party. Leading up to the event, communication was fantastic - Brian was responsive, communicative, and flexible with regard to logistics, menu selection, etc. He was happy to accommodate our requests, but able to offer informed, thoughtful recommendations in areas where we deferred to him, which we really appreciated since this was our first time hiring a chef for an event. During the party Brian and his assistant were efficient and competent - everything ran ahead-of-schedule, and the food was fantastic! All our guests have asked for his card to hire him for their special events, and we look forward to having Brian cook for us again!

My culinary background is over 10 years of experience including being a banquet chef at The Ritz Carlton in Laguna Beach, CA. Even though my background does come from higher-end cooking, I do not shy away from simple causal cooking. I love to cook and cater to all different events such as, birthdays, weddings, special events, graduations, cocktail parties, pool parties and many more. My goal is to not only deliver you with an ultra-flavorful taste from the food but also to give you a memorable experience that you may look back throughout the years. There is no such thing as too big of an event nor there is too small of one either. I do also have professional helpers if needed to assist me. The way it works is I will draft a menu up for you based on the dishes or theme you may want. Then on the event day, I will come on over to the location either with the food prepped and ready to go or start prepping there to give you more of the authentic surrounding whatever you may choose. Then, I will plate the dishes and serve or if buffet style set up individual dishes to be eaten at will. Then, after that I will clean the location and leave it cleaner than when I arrived to make sure on your end your job is to only enjoy your time with your guests and the experience.
