- What types of customers have you worked with?
As a soloist bellydancer or with Nouveau Cabaret Dance Company, our most common types of jobs are weddings and birthday celebrations. That said, we do hundreds of events each year for grand openings, special family events, charity fundraisers and concerts. I have even performed the candelabra balancing act for a memorial service. I've performed for Middle Eastern Royalty and done birthday bellygrams in a bowling alley...and everything in between. Being a bellydancer is an adventure every day.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When hiring a bellydancer or bellydance company, make sure to look at video and speak with your artists by phone before booking them. Discuss the details of your event with your entertainers and create a plan that will work realistically with your event time line. Do you want audience participation? This should be planned ahead of time to ensure a smooth flow.
