FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is flexible and based on the amount of travel, customization, additional writing and other specifics of the job. For instance, to do a job requiring several hours of driving plus writing specific roast jokes for someone's birthday, that would cost slightly more than a job that did not have those requirements. But I'm very easy to work with so don't let this dissuade you, my first goal is to make you laugh!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get all the details on a project, the location, time, date, pay, size of audience, occasion, etc. Most importantly is to see if the customer has a mic/PA or if I will have to rent and bring one.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've performed and written stand-up comedy for over 14 years, I've taught public speaking and comedy classes, won 1st place in San Diego's Funniest Person Contest, worked as a TV talk show host interviewing tons of interesting people, and I've toured all over the country performing for a wide variety of audiences. I have a BA in Sociology from UCSD with minors in Theater and History, and I enjoy meeting working with different people from all walks of life.
