Thank you so much for such kind words and an excellent review - I really appreciate it!
There aren’t too many certainties in this time of rapid change and fake news. However, Jesse Egan is a rock solid comedy talent who shares his gifts with the community. Multi talented doesn’t begin to describe Egan. He can craft jokes, draw illustrations, teach standup, host a show and improvise. He is valuable resource in the San Diego comedy entertainment scene. Egan has that rare comedic gift, to take one out their stressed out space and deliver a new fan to a higher level of levity. Egan is a guaranteed draw and a genuine audience pleaser. He takes the time to invest in a thoroughly enjoyable show. And it shows in his material and fantastic audience reactions. Egan does his research. His comedy sets are well tailored to the audience and fan base. The bits are crafted with care. The jokes are timed perfectly and always right on the money. And his punch lines, tags and call backs are some of the best in the business. Egan's shows have a broad and inclusive feel. I’ll let you in on a little secret. A good barometer of Egan’s brilliance, when you see one of his shows, is the crowd in attendance. Because what you don’t notice, usually in the back, standing in awe and admiration are other comedians marveling at his comedy stylings.Aug 24, 2019Jesse Egan's reply

Thanks very much for the nice review and kind words Josh!
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My pricing is flexible and based on the amount of travel, customization, additional writing and other specifics of the job. For instance, to do a job requiring several hours of driving plus writing specific roast jokes for someone's birthday, that would cost slightly more than a job that did not have those requirements. But I'm very easy to work with so don't let this dissuade you, my first goal is to make you laugh!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to get all the details on a project, the location, time, date, pay, size of audience, occasion, etc. Most importantly is to see if the customer has a mic/PA or if I will have to rent and bring one.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I've performed and written stand-up comedy for over 14 years, I've taught public speaking and comedy classes, won 1st place in San Diego's Funniest Person Contest, worked as a TV talk show host interviewing tons of interesting people, and I've toured all over the country performing for a wide variety of audiences. I have a BA in Sociology from UCSD with minors in Theater and History, and I enjoy meeting working with different people from all walks of life.
