I am meticulous and detail oriented. Creating a custom playlist for each event and making sure you know your client and what they desire to hear is paramount in making a smooth enjoyable event. Therefore, I make sure all details of the event structure are triple checked and always leave my clients happy. Interaction with new people and the events. Whether is a wedding, a prom. a anniversary or a party, it is usually a happy time. Life is all about celebrations of various milestones in life. I get to be there at all these events, surrounded by people who are enjoying themselves. I get to add music to these celebrations and seeing the joy it brings to people is beyond rewarding.

This review has long been overdue. Nathan Shane was our DJ for our October 2021 wedding at Orfila Vineyards & Winery. He was professional, punctual, communicative, and made our entire night the best experience of our lives and for our guests. It was sad to hear that our wedding would be among his lasts before retiring from DJing, but he definitely went out with a bang. Our wedding vibes — from the colors of the up lights & dance door lighting to the music — we’re spectacular and everything we had hoped for. We definitely would recommend GE Productions to anyone who is looking to find quality DJs for an affordable budget.

My husband & I had Peter (DJ Jimmy Grizzley) from GE Productions as the DJ for our wedding and we could not be happier with how things turned out! From the very first phone call I had with Peter, I could tell he was professional, on top of it, communicative, honest, and genuine. Leading up to the wedding, Peter was very responsive and helped us out when we had questions. The system he has in place for selecting music for the wedding is seamless, easy, and efficient! On the day of our wedding, from ceremony to reception, our music was perfect. Beyond just music, he was a great MC and effortlessly navigated twists/turns that occurred throughout the night. 10/10, would highly recommend Peter and his company, GE Productions. Peter responded quickly to an event that was happening in a few days and happened to have a cancellation. He was personable, and professional; and went out of his way to understand the nature of the party as well as the styles of music; went out of his way to ask for individual song list up to last minute. His DJ and lights were the glue this party needed at an affordable price...THANKS Peter!!

DJ Jimmy Grizzly aka Peter was delightful to work with from beginning to end. Peter was a great DJ with a lot of talent and a great ear for mixing and reading the crowd. We had a mixed crowd with Latin and Irish, and DJ JG accommodated both crowds and everybody was dancing from start to finish. He's an all around great guy and just a bad ass DJ.

Peter did such a great job! Adding a DJ was a last minute decision and this was my first time using Thumbtack. I was so happy to receive a fast quote and immediate follow up from Peter. He asked me a ton of questions prior to the party about our guests and age group etc. He showed up early to set up and once the party was in full swing he was playing some great tunes. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet in person! I think face to face interaction still works best. At our initial consultation I have a ton of questions I like to ask my clients so we can make sure we are on the same page. If it is a wedding client there are many details to cover. I always want my clients to ask me any questions they have so they get a good feel for who they are working with. If everything goes well at the meeting and it looks like we are a good fit I will send a recap email of the meeting along with a contract to move forward.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a current member of the American DJ Association and we have monthly meetings to discuss different techniques and go over experiences so we can continue to improve and learn from our colleagues. I have had formal training for mixing, beat matching and production. I am always updating to the latest technology available in order to provide my clients with the best possible performance.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My roommate in college (1995) was a DJ. That's where I began to learn and develop a love for my craft.
