Kevin Armendariz Artistic Finishes
About this pro
Kevin refinished two pieces of furniture. One of them involved stripping, refinishing, and lacquering a black cabinet including adding gold trim. He did a great job. I liked it so much I had him paint my dining room with a faux finish and he did a beautiful job.Sep 15, 2015Verified
There is NO ONE more talented than Kevin is. He has done an impeccable mural, venetian plaster and even some metallic scraping in my house all while making it flow and fit with the rustic farmhouse style we have going on! The only problem I have now is trying to find him more walls to continue the magic-ness he brings--Kevin will be my lifetime artist, I can't wait to work with him again!Aug 3, 2015
Kevin's murals are amazing. I'm ready to half do some work on my new house. I miss the one he did on the house I sold. MarieJul 30, 2015

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We me its about measuring, taking into account number of windows, amount of paint needed. Therefore I have to see the project before I agree in a price. You see, much of the time the client needs a realistic timetable for when the job can be completed. If there is crooked lines in the framing, if the ceiling is popcorn coated and needs to be hand edged(cutting) it's going to take much more time and more assistants would need to be hired. Rate changes are bad for building clientele so it pays to have an in-person assessment of the cost.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?20 some odd years ago I was dating an artist and we painted together, and at university I excelled in my life drawing classes. My sister started a company Tucson and we work together.
- What types of customers have you worked with?Murals, Plasters, and most recently. cabinet refinishing. As we all know, during the 90's there was an influx in residential building and suddenly everyone had oak cabinets. Well nobody likes the oak look anymore but the product was good and so these days people are choosing to put money into refinishing the oak wood by painting, sanding, distressing, and creating some truly unique cabinetry.
