Helen is quite possibly the best editor ever! Without her, I would still be lost trying to figure out what the term grammatically correct means. She has taught me more about grammar and structure in my time working with her, than I learned in a lifetime from school and books! Helen has an awesome personality and a way of editing and mentoring that assists in your growth as an author, without tearing you down. Her insights for my first book have been invaluable and there has never been a time when I didn't feel that my project was just as important to her as it was to me. If you are searching for a great editor, stop looking now, and get ready to learn from the best! -R.J. Belle
I tired another editor before I knew about MS Marie Woodruff. That was a complete disaster. I did a more through search for another editor and I was blessed to be connected to MS Woodruff. Every session is a productive progression towards getting my manuscript to my publisher. My plans are to write more books. I will definitely use MS Woodruff as my editor and I highly recommend that you consult with her B-4-U hire anyone else for your literary service needs.
Gary is a superb editor. With over 30 years in newspaper editing, his attention to detail and understanding of the english language is excellent. In addition, his customer service and turn around time was fantastic. I felt like he worked with me and I would recommend him to anybody.
I have worked with Dorothy for over 5 years and have found her to be a great editor. Dorothy is very thorough, catching everything from spelling and grammatical errors to inconsistencies in usage and formatting. She ensures that your document and written thoughts are clear and easy to understand, even if what you provide her with is far from it. Dorothy is cheerful and easy to work with. I cant recommend her work more strongly!
I couldn't have asked for a more insightful developmental editor, adept at both fiction and non-fiction. In my last non-fiction book, "Rasputin: The Memoirs of His Secretary," Bryna pointed out many areas that required elucidation for readers who might not be as familiar with the history as I was. She asked some very tough questions and made me hone the continuity and flow of the work. Bryna's feedback on a novel I'm writing has been invaluable as far as what makes sense and what doesn't, what works and what doesn't, what's unclear, the balance between narrative and dialog, pacing, segues, point of view, etc. Her assessments are very incisive and the result is a very clean, cohesive work. She was not only timely in responding, but encouraging as well. Her own book, "The Accidental Anarchist," is evidence of her natural talent, where she manages to make non-fiction read like fiction. Frankly, I cannot imagine using another editor. It's not just that her editorial comments are spot on, but she asks hard-hitting questions about the work that make you think about what you're doing, how you're doing it, where you're going and who you're appealing to.
Ash has edited multiple documents for me for the past few years and is the only editor I fully trust with my work. The assignments mainly consisted of thesis papers, essays and a few articles. Ash was always professional, easy to reach, great with communication and affordable.
I have know Mel Buxbaum for many years and he has worked with me on several major projects through the years. We recommend him highly! He is creative, intense and has a great work ethic. He comes through on time with good work!
Wonderful editor, 10/10. Leaves insightful comments and ways in which to improve your writing. She is great for grammar and aiding with plot development and presentation, as well as character development and focusing on quality rather than quanitity, like some editors. Definitely good for new writers but she is also wonderful for those who have been writing for years; can give detailed feedback on whatever you feel and will help with developing weak points. She has been a great help to me with my stories (and my ridiculous use of commas has been cut down!) As well as aiding me in plotting for my next book. Would definitely recommend to all writers!
