Introduction: I make complicated techniques seem simple and approachable for cooking enthusiasts of all levels. What I enjoy most about cooking and teaching cooking classes is inspiring others. I love having people say "I can't wait to make this at home!" or "that seems easy enough, I can do that!" Often times cooking can be intimidating and I love being the one that changes opinions on that.

I was hosting a dinner party and knew it would be a large undertaking. I was referred to Kat's Kitchen Collective by a co-worker who had used her services previously. Kat was quick to respond to my inquiry, and when I met her I was put at ease with her professionalism and understanding my my needs. We discussed menu options and with her expertise in menu planning she did a fantastic job. The day of my party Kat showed up a few hours before my guests and came prepared to create a culinary masterpiece. She cleaned up as she went so my kitchen was never a mess. When my guests arrived they would wander into the kitchen and Kat was so friendly, and even took the time to answer questions. She wasn't bothered by the intrusion and to me that was as important as the wonderful dinner she prepared. My guests loved the food, and Kat as well. I'm so glad I found her. I know now that Kat is the one to call for my parties. I've never had such a stress free evening. Thank you Kat. You're the best!

Kat has catered many of my events for small and large groups of people over the past years. She was always prompt and professional. She served various types of meals to my guests and all tasted and appeared upscale and individually prepared. She was also very flexible and accommodating in meeting the special food needs of my guests. I am looking forward to have Kat cater more special events for me including smaller dinner parties.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    Absolutely! I am constantly striving to improve my skills and learn the greatest and latest. In a few months I am going to Chicago for a few days to work under one of my favorite Chefs to learn all about his fine dining italian restaurant.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    It found me! I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life until I stepped into a kitchen at the age of 18. There was no turning back.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    I am often hired for private cooking instructions or dinner parties and celebrations.
