FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I invite all my customers to suggest the price they would feel comfortable paying for the completion of the job for which they are hiring. I do not purport to know anybody's financial situation but believe everyone is entitled to quality work at a fair price; I will do what I can to meet them at that price. I won't attempt to charge more than what is agreed upon and there will be no surprise charges or fees. I consider my word binding and aim to leave customers satisfied with the work I do and the price they pay. I have a price ceiling for gas dryer ducts, new install or removal and replacement, $499 includes parts and labor. Low enough to not require a permit provided it is not a part of a larger project. The price can be lower than that, but will not be higher.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Find out the specifics of the job. Ask for clarification if any is needed. Schedule. Complete work.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Began doing work for those that I already knew personally. I've always enjoyed fixing and building things and this branched out into an occupation. As luck would have it, I really enjoy helping people and have developed a policy of being "unreasonably reasonable".
