I have been having weekly Spanish lessons from Spanish55 for almost 2 months now. I greatly appreciate the one on one lessons with my Spanish coach and how each week we are able to take on new subjects. What I have been learning will help me both in my work life and social life. I highly recommend giving Spanish55 a try!

Lynne Feldman is a very patient and experienced teacher who puts a lot of dedication into understanding her students' weaknesses. She adapted her classes to my individual needs by focusing on the language used in my professional area, using material specific to my personal interests and providing lots of practical advice. Lynne's classes are fun and that helps overcome the difficulties of learning a new language.

My 88 year old aunt recommended Sophie when she heard that I was looking to take French lessons. She has been a student of hers for years. My girlfriend and I started taking lessons with Sophie about 18 months ago. We recently returned from a 10-day vacation in France and we were thrilled with how much our French had improved. We were able to speak to the locals in French and we both understood and were understood by them. Sophie is very reliable, punctual and is very reasonably priced. She makes the lessons fun and with enough variety that we always look forward to them.

My daughter has had one french lesson with Catherine. Catherine did her very best to accommodate us, being that we live so far from each other. She was engaging and friendly with my teenage daughter and helped put her at ease for her first lesson with her. She is very knowledgable and was able to help my daughter start remembering the things that she had forgotten and shared some new information as well. We look forward to continuing our lessons with Catherine.

Christine Hebert is the most conscientious, best prepared, pedagogical language teacher I have ever worked with. I have worked with Christine on two separate occasions. I hired Christine 12 years ago to teach my children French and a year ago to teach me German. Thanks to Christine, my children who are college students now obtained a solid base in French and still sing the French songs she taught them back then while accompanying them on her guitar. As for myself, Christine custom-prepared German lessons for me keeping up with my demanding style and requirements to where she would email me after only a few weeks into our lessons Hermann Hesse poems. Christine modifies the level, the speed and the style of her teaching sessions to fit her student's needs, personality and mood. She is truly a gem of a language teacher and I recommend her highly. Paola has been a pleasure to work with. Her extensive knowledge of language structure has been very helpful as it has been many years since I actually conjugated verbs. After half a dozen lessons I don't know much yet but feel very good about continuing with Paola and trying to absorb as much as I can from a truly wonderful and charismatic native of Italy!

Philip is great--a very dedicated tutor. He sent me several options for language programs and gave really helpful homework lessons, as well as many tips on the culture and alternative ways to pick up language (good French movies to watch, music, games, etc). Very nice man and great tutor!

Germana has provided a great tutorial experience for me. She is very professional, comes always well prepared with relevant material for the class and not only adds value to the class but also makes it fun to learn a new language. She has quickly adapted to my learning needs and my level. She is always on time to our meetings or otherwise will let me know in advance of a possible tardiness. Overall, I find working with Germana a very enjoyable experience

About

I have lived and taught English abroad in Costa Rica and Brazil, as well as traveled throughout Europe and South America. I am fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. For the past couple years, I have been teaching kids classes (as well as tutoring adults) anything from creative writing to art, Spanish and geography. I am a very enthusiastic and creative person, which helps me bring very unique and fun activities to class. I always accommodate my lessons based on the student's level and specific need or interest just like for example, if you need to learn English for business or work or perhaps you need to learn some conversational Spanish for traveling. Everyone is unique so I like to make all of my lessons unique as well. No matter what, we always have a good time!

About

What makes me such an effective tutor/educator is that I can relate to students on their level. If they don't understand important material, I am patient in further educating them until they fully comprehend. I have a BA in English literature from a university on the East Coast. I was an editor for over a year and a half reading student papers and dissertations. I am familiar speaking to people with accents as I volunteered at a school for international students learning English. I do my best to make learning a fun and enjoyable experience. My stepbrother was from Russia, and I helped teach him how to read. He is now an avid English communicator who no longer even has an accent. Please contact me for more information on how I can meet all your expectations of me and more!
