FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $225 an hour, with a 3-5 hour minimum deposit. Usually, my clients split the fee; which, makes it not only more affordable; but, ensures everyone is truly invested in the dispute resolution process. Many attorneys charge between $500-$800 an hour. You WILL be saving money and time through mediation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Aside from my undergraduate degree, law degree, the fact I passed the California Bar and practiced law for 14 years, I have extensive training in dispute resolution.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I practiced law for 14 years. After going through my own highly contentious divorce; which, lasted 7 years, we lost EVERYTHING and had to start from the ground up! When I say EVERYTHING, I mean: our home, retirement, savings, cars, many friends who felt compelled to take sides and businesses. Not to mention the incredible toll a contentious divorce had on our children, mentally and emotionally. After what we went through, I decided no one should have to pay thousands and thousands of dollars to attorneys, to fight in their separate, non-communicative, corners. Instead, with years of experience taking and defending depositions and arguing pleadings in court, I have learned to bring parties together in an atmosphere where personal feelings are held at bay, and productive communication is fostered so everyone can have closure, preserve their dignity, leave this ugly chapter behind; and move forward with your new chapter as soon as possible!
