- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will discuss the customers current lifestyle and determine what if any barriers there are from leading an adequately physically active lifestyle. I will then do assessments to determine what areas need to be worked on first in order to achieve optimal structural integrity within the human kinetic chain. I will then set achievable goals that will stretch the individual to improve physical fitness.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely! We are constantly learning new things about the human body, thus new training tactics and trends are always emerging. I am fortunate enough to be in a fitness related major going into grad school later in 2012.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I struggled with managing a healthy weight the majority of my life. In my early 30's I made several life changes, getting healthy and going back to school were just a couple. I started doing so much research and studying on health and fitness to lose weight on my own, that I decided I might as well major in it and help other people do the same thing.
