I have known Kendra for more than four years and consider her one of the most transformational people with whom I have worked. Her ability to share her knowledge of physiology, combined with her ability to address critical health issues related to nutrition and active living, make her an inspiration who has helped me personally change my body—and therefore life. I am confident that she will do equally well with all clients in training and perfecting their physical capabilities. I began working with Kendra in DC with the goal of losing weight and getting into shape. After surgeries on each knee, I had lost mobility, agility, and the ability to run and play sports. This lack of activity led to an increasingly sedentary lifestyle. I had gained 30 pounds and lost significant motivation to work through the pain felt by what was previously easy exercise. I specifically met with Kendra because of her specialization in working with athletes in strength training and conditioning in the hopes that she would be able to help get me in shape to run, ski, and even be competitive again in simple sports such as flag football. From our first meeting, she demonstrated deep knowledge of anatomy and physiology. She researched the specifics of my injuries, and developed an evaluation routine that I underwent for a month to help measure my range of motion, stability, stamina, and strength. The results were used as a baseline against which Kendra created a tailored exercise plan. After four months, I had lost 10 pounds and was back on a treadmill. Most importantly, I was enthused to keep going. Kendra continued to create regimented exercise plans with interim milestones and a final goal, incorporating research, updates received from her attendance at professional association events, and through her collaboration with other trainers. For example, she developed a strength training routine for me based on a combination of National Academy of Sports Medicine recommendations. She updated the plans at least quarterly, and would demonstrate each exercise and movement with me to ensure that I was able and confident in what I was to do. Many clients have benefitted from Kendra’s ability to stay abreast with current research and trends in strength training. Through individual and group training sessions, she exhibits her ability to apply her knowledge to the needs of specific clients. She works with a range of clientele along with other trainers to incorporate input and feedback in her design of classes and exercise plans. Over the years in which I have worked with her, Kendra has always strived for and succeeded in understanding the root cause of clients’ physiology and joint issues. More importantly, she invests in her clients as people - taking into account their personal motivations, mental well-being, and lifestyles - never judging nor dictating regimens that are unattainable. Two years into working together, I owed her for getting me in shape to run with ease, handle the slopes of the Rockies, hike throughout China, and be confident with my 35 pound-lighter body. Four years later, I’ve kept the weight off, remain active, and owe it all to Kendra’s training!

Kendra is an incredible trainer. She helped me implement changes in my fitness and eating routine that have completely revolutionized the way I look and feel. She helps you push yourself and gets you results. California is very lucky to have her - we miss her here in DC!!

Kendra is one of a kind! She is passionate and knowledgeable about her job, which translates into all of her training sessions. She never uses a cookie cutter approach. She really pays attention to your individual goals, habits, and physical abilities and makes every workout different. Her workouts are fun and challenging and helped me reach my goal of slimming down and toning up!

I wish I could have moved to Kendra to Palm Springs with me! She was an amazing trainer, friend and motivator! She helped me change my body and without her I am lost (and flabby!).

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I provide nutritional coaching where we go over healthy eating habits and how to make healthier choices to help them meet their goals. I provided increasingly challenging workouts to adapt to their increases in performance while building confidence in their abilities.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Other then researching a trainers education, remember you get what you pay for. If you want someone more educated, experienced, and completely involved with you during this journey they are going to cost more then someone brand new. Health is an investment, the best one you will ever make!
