Tom is an excellent trainer that helped me immensely in the search to reach my fitness goals. He is great at reading how much gas you have in the tank on any given day and pushing you as hard as you need without going overboard. I would highly recommend giving Tom at A.P.E.Fit a chance to help you reach your maximum fitness potential.Dec 8, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? It's all workable. If you have the drive and the intent, I can make some exceptions financially. However, my sessions are typically an hour long, unless asked to shorten or extend. I offer a student, military/veteran, and first responder discount (10$) I also offer packages and I don't increase my rates.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I need to get to know where they are. Be it Olympic athlete or absolute beginner. Everyone gets an assessment so I can develop a proper program. We baby step our way through it at first, and then we start to hit the gas depending on how well the training is sinking in. It's all relative to the individual client, and no two clients are exactly alike. I look over every aspect of health; sleep, stressors, nutrition, injury, physical limitations, and physical capabilities just to name a few. Every new situation is unique, and every situation gets the same process of exploration.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am certified as a Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and Performance Enhancement Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I've also had more than 10,000 hours of one on one personal training and 5,000 hours of group fitness classes. I've been a CrossFit coach for nearly 7 years as well. I believe in doing personal research into all facets of fitness. If i hear about it, and a client wants to know about it, I'll try it. I also attend seminars on different coaching positions (gymnastics, weightlifting, rowing, running, nutrition.)
