Introduction: I have been personal training for 3 years and teaching yoga for 5 years. I completed a bachelors degree in social psychology with a minor in exercise science. I am also certified through nasm, and I completed a year long hands on internship at the personal training school Show Up Fitness in La Jolla. My training philosophy is simple: educate my clients so well that they are able to fly free on their own. Through education, my clients move better, have better body awareness, train smarter, and are able to get the desired results they are looking for in addition to an understanding about the human body and movement. I believe I am different than most personal trainers because I am a trained yoga teacher. My teaching style is informed through biomechanics, anatomy, and physiology. I teach my clients about breathwork, and how it can be used in resistance training, in addition to incorporating mindfulness during resistance training.

Sarah has been my personal trainer since November 2021 and it has been nothing short of spectacular! She has helped me towards my health and wellness goals with rock solid fitness plans and an incredibly positive attitude. She is always there when I have questions and is extremely adaptable when life happens and scheduling adjustments need to be made. 10/10, A+, 5 stars or however you want to rate this fantastic human being!

I would have clicked Value and Punctuality too! Sarah ZMay has brought incredible value to my life, after training with her I am stronger in my physical body and mind. I’ve always been intimidated to spend time at the gym but when I felt that my yoga and overall health would improve if I was stronger Sarah was just the boost of confidence that I needed to take that leap! I’m so glad that I did! Sarah is in addition to being professional and responsive she is also punctual meeting me on time, being respectful of my time and most importantly encouraging me with checking in and following up to structure my time in a way that best serves me. I am so grateful and would absolutely recommend Sarah’s personal training to family and friends without hesitation! Thank you Sarah!!

By training with Sarah, I have been able to better able to define and work towards my fitness goals. Just having a consistent workout routine and being around her energy has made me an overall happier person as well! I love how knowledgeable she is and how she is constantly trying to keep up with emerging trends and literature around the movement sciences. I also have benefitted from yoga classes, it is the perfect way to reset after a workout. She provides a lot of education and mindset tips around fitness and diet for a healthy and balanced lifestyle. So thankful to learn from such a wonderful human!

Sarah is such an incredible teacher. I have always loved her trainings because not only is it physically strengthening you but you are also subconsciously becoming aware of the muscles and bones you’re stretching. She is meticulous about how she has you moving your body and the benefits of flowing. She continues to inspire me and will always be someone I look up to

Sarah is an amazing trainer. Her workouts are customized to my goals. She has a ton of knowledge about anatomy and how muscle groups work. She’s very motivating and entertaining, so you don’t even realize the session is over when it is! I practice yoga almost daily and like to do other strength training workouts during the week, and Sarah always makes sure to ask how I’m feeling and what’s sore and will adjust the workout as needed to accomodate my body’s limitations that day. For me right now, it’s not about losing weight or inches (mostly about building strength and flexibility), but that is still happening! I truly look forward to every session I spend with Sarah, and I tell her I think of her daily when I feel how strong I’m getting. The only regret I have is not starting sooner!
