Introduction: We capture the most precious moments. Photojournalistic in approach, we're going to be taking the photos you didn't realize we shot, just when you weren't looking. Expect to be pleased. I love photography. I practically live and breathe it. I feel lucky to be able to do that which I love, and to capture beautiful moments in photographs.

I found Anjuli through Model Mayhem. I was looking for some different additions to my portfolio, and as I looked through hers, I knew she wasn't like every other photographer I have shot with. We emailed back and forth a few times and decided that since I have a 2 year old daughter, we'd do some "mommy daughter" shots. We scheduled a date and time, and ended up having to reschedule. But the day we rescheduled it to ended up being, of course, a gloomy day in San Diego. I didn't receive her email asking me if I'd like to wait until a sunny day until I got to where we were shooting at, but even so, she arrived on time where we had planned to meet since I had not responded. My daughter is pretty shy, but as soon as she met Anjuli, they instantly clicked. We spend a good couple hours shooting in different places around the U.S.S Midway. My daughter, being two, has quite a short attention span, but Anjuli was always on her toes, trying to get the next perfect shot. Even with the gloom, Anjuli got some amazing shots. She is very creative and has a great eye for what she is doing. I will most definitely recommend Storybook to my friends and family. She is one of the best photogs here in San Diego.

Love Love Love! That's all I have to say about the photographer and the pictures we took with STORYBOOK PHOTOGRAPHY Anjuli is very warm and makes you feel very comfortable during the shoot. And, I must say, that she has an AMAZING knack with the BABIES! We did a newborn shoot and she kept my little guy as calm as could be and he slept thru the entire thing! Sometimes when he's fussy I think about calling her to come over and work her magic! =) Our pictures turned out beautifully...exactly what I was looking for! Anjuli is obviously passionate about her photography and has a great energy that shows in her work! TOP QUALITY photographer...and very accomodating, too! I was going to be out of town, so she expeditiously worked on our photos so I could have them within the week! Thanks again, Anjuli! So glad to have found Storybook Photography

A friend recently introduced me to Storybook Photography and Anjuli (who runs the business). For some time, I wanted photographs of my Golden Retriever (Spinnaker) and my sailboat. Anjuli and I spoke on the phone and she was so pleasant and warm, and we negotiated and found a very reasonable and fair price. We scheduled to meet for a shoot the next Saturday -- and when the day came, she called me that morning to offer to re-schedule since the weather in San Diego wasn't nice. We decided to go take some pictures even with the clouds, and she was just so warm and professional. My dog is a pretty good judge of character as well! She had him sitting and staying (longer than I can!). In any case, she took lots of pictures and they came out great. Even though I was happy and pleased, she said that she would come back the next weekend and take some pictures with the sun. She wanted the sunny pictures even more than I did. In any case, she came back the next weekend and was very gracious with her time. A week later, she and I met at Starbucks and she presented me with a beautiful photo album. Her selections were so well curated. I was extremely pleased with the entire engagement and I have already recommended her to friends with children. Anjuli is uniquely warm, gracious, responsible, and has a great eye.

Anjuli at Storybook Photography is an excellent photographer who is very good at engaging and bringing out the personality of your child. She is very patient and takes the time to connect with each child in order to capture the essence of the child and their various personalities on camera. Highly recommend trying out Storybook Photography! Anjuli: my daughter asked about you yesterday and when I showed her the photos you sent just now she got all excited and asked me if I remembered the beach when the photos were taken. :) She wanted to see the photos over and over again. And she said she wants to go to the beach again to take more pictures. :) She remembers you too and asks where you are. These are great to show my husband later after his birthday's over and when I share with him what we did. :) Thanks for sending these over. It made me smile!

Anjuli is a passionate, organized, and creative professional. It was both a pleasure and an honor to be selected to photograph her as she worked. She has a love for working with children and families that allows her to focus on creativity and originality when composing her photos. As a fellow photographer, I understand the challenges in capturing that special moment in a photo session that stands out above the rest and Anjuli has a knack and a dilligence for making sure her clients are completely satisfied. She is truly an inpsiring breath of fresh air and I am fortunate to have met and worked with her on this project. I look forward to being a part of other projects with her in the future. FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Absolutely. I am all about taking classes. I think it is very important to learn from fellow photographers... whether one has been in the business for two years or 20 years. Twenty years ago, we didn't have digital photography! Ten years ago, the public still didn't trust digital photography to be of adequate or sufficient quality, and still today, there are those that choose to develop their film in the real dark room. I think it is imperative to continue to learn, whether it is an online class, online research, chatting with fellow photographers, asking lots of questions, or taking an accredited course. Continuing to learn and master new techniques and new technologies is what its' all about. As a business owner, one needs to know how to market onself. Knowing the technology behind the camera is really the story to success as a photographer.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Usually we photograph events happen at church such as christenings, pageants, and all of the yearly holidays which we celebrate. Our favourite jobs are working with babies and young children. Adding to the resume, I've volunteered in a local NICU for two years and know a good deal about babies and photography.
