Matthew took some pictures for my family's San Diego carpet cleaning business Tony's Best Way Cleaning of San Diego in on location in Carlsbad, CA last year. He was accommodating and easy going. We ended up with a some winners of photos that I am using in our advertising and new website. I like the photos "fisheye" effect and their more quality look. I did have to photoshop them a bit afterward, to get some smiles and the perfect look I was looking for. For example, our technicians are not models and Matt didn't ask them for smiles, so that's that. I've worked with other photographers and I've found some are "directors" and some are not. I myself prefer when photographers direct the shots a bit more. I can see some people preferring the opposite, but that's my opinion. I also want to state in this review that I asked Matt for a favor a year after the photoshoot regarding getting the photos legally released for our use and he did it. I appreciated that. Thanks Matthew!

I had the pleasure of working w/Matt a couple weeks ago, he took some headshots for my website. Communication was easy, I felt comfortable/relaxed during the shoot, couldn't believe how quickly he was able to edit my photos & was very happy w/the end result! I work closely with ASMP to create the program schedule and bring speakers to town who will be valuable assets to the local photographic community.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started shooting film in high school and was always carrying a camera around taking pictures of my friends and places I went. I soon started getting paid gigs taking pictures at concerts and of the bands before and after shows. I wanted to know everything I could about photography so I studied it using every available method, from taking advanced classes to working with high end photographers.
