Introduction: When I decided to teach Pilates, I made the decision to only work one on one in private sessions. I was a student of the Pilates method for 11 years before I became an instructor. I was dedicated to my private sessions twice per week, and it changed my life. I gained core strength and I no longer experienced the constant sciatica that I had down my left leg. My posture improved, my energy improved and I attribute Pilates as the basis of my lifestyle of wellness. And this is what I share with my students. I teach Pilates as a lifestyle, it is not a quick fix to get ready for summer! It is a mind/body pracitce that will carry you through your life. I help change lives by freeing people from pain. Pilates can end neck and lower back pain. It creates good posture, so therefore everything that you do with movement becomes effortless because you learn to generate your power through your core. I love when my students start to get it and they share how they notice the improvement in their health which carries over to everything in their lives.
