US Music Lessons is great. My daughter's been receiving piano lessons for a little over a year now and it's been a positive experience. The teachers are nice and their rates are reasonable, better than similar services out there.

Bernie has been a great drum teacher for my two daughters. He is dedicated, committed, fun and with a great teaching attitude. Always arrives on time and ready to start. A big plus for Bernie, is that my 2 daughters have autism, and he is able to engage with them pretty effectively, and redirect them when needed, as their attention and focus shifts. I fully recommend him for Drum lessons and for kids in the Autism spectrum!

Tim is an excellent drum teacher! His rates are very reasonable. He's been teaching my 9 year old daughter for 8 months and she's learned so much in that time. Tim is her 2nd drum teacher and I'm very happy with his teaching style. He's professional and personable, easy to talk to, and accommodating to schedule changes.

Victor made learning drums a really fun experience for me. I have trouble motivating myself to practice, but he found songs that I really enjoyed playing. I found myself wanting to practice every day, instead of it feeling like a chore. He was also good at explaining concepts in a way that I understood. Thanks Victor!

I contacted Ron with an unusual request for drum lessons, but not those normal, conventional music/drum theories taught in typical drum set lessons. I wanted someone who can think "outside of the box" and explore an idea or two. To my great appreciation, Ron rose to the challenge in true form and is vastly improving my understanding of drumming theory, those very reasons behind why we play the rhythms the way we do. He is also vastly improving my skill level with exercises he specifically gears toward my personal abilities & skill level. If you are looking for an experience that can also be flexible in taking you to new, surprising fun drumming, this is a phone call you will definitely want to make!

For me, it was the simple things that Kyle taught me during my lessons with him that enhanced my playing. The importance of timing and playing with the track and not against the track. Tools and knowledge for life!

Working with Drew was an overall great experience. Drew is very attentive, patient and thorough. He was very encouraging and gave gentle reminders to stay relaxed, take deep breaths, not beat myself up when I made small mistakes, and to just groove and feel the music rather than overthink it. His lesson flowed perfectly and I must say that my over all favorite part of the lesson was drumming along side Drew and watching his expertise and light shine! I would happily recommend Drew to anyone serious about learning to play and love the drums!

For years I've known Mike; and I've worked with him on numerous musical projects. He is one of the most talented, spirited, and influencial musicians I've had the pleasure of knowing. Collaborating with him has been one of the greatest learning experiences I've had. Not to mention, Mike is one of the easiest going, likable people out there. I'd recommend him for lessons, or even a half hour of picking his musical brain.

About

I'm a private drum teacher specializing in children ages 7 and up. My program is a fool proof method of what I call "break down to build up" meaning that we strip the drum set down to just the snare drum and we learn each drum one at a time. So that we are not overwhelmed with the whole drum set all at once. I'm in the business of building strong self esteem, so let's get to drumming. If you cant come to my studio in vista then I will come to you especially if you have other children. If you don't have drums I will provide my own until you can afford your own.

I teach drum set skills to beginner/intermediate and advanced students. I focus on the meter, feeling and basic rudiments pertaining to playing songs and not "showing off". I prefer students who love music first and drumming second.
