Introduction: We do all phases of high end/ custom tile/stone installations. We mostly install porcelain tile , some travertine, marble, slate, limestone, flagstone, natural stone veneers, pavers, etc. We specialize in tubs and showers in tile and large flooring areas with large format tile . We were selected to install many different types of material inside and out of award-winning homes at the Tour de Elegance home shows. We take pride in our workmanship, quality, and service for our customers.

We had a great experience with Bill Curran & his team, and our floors came out just beautifully! We're located in an urban loft building in Little Italy, so rules & regs can greatly affect our choices. We opted for XL porcelain floor planks (wood look). Bill helped us choose the Whisper Mat for sound protection, x-long size tiles, the grout color, and the source (Floor and Decor - we'd also recommend them). His team was clean and organized. Bill is so "on it" with both input & communication that I could hardly keep up! He is a rare breed in a world of subs who don't show up, we were grateful to find him. Now we'd like to replicate him for our drywall and countertops...!

Great tile experience. Bill came out to my house and gave me a fair price to demo/haul away [carpet, tile, glued wood to concrete] and install new tiles [900 Sq Ft] in my home. Bill was friendly, very knowledgable about his trade, gave me great tile suggestions on the tile layout/appearance, replied to all my messages, advised me during demo if any surface cracks in the concrete slab exist recommended to apply a membrane barrier avoiding future tile breakage to the new floor. The tile installation by Bill and his crew turned out amazing. My wife and I are so happy with the tile work. Best part of this project it was completed the date promised and on budget. I can’t remember a better experience from the first call, timeliness, quality, and courtesy from the entire team was fantastic.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing seems to run similar to many other LICENSED contractors with similar qualifications and work quality. I have had potential clients want us to match prices they have from unlicensed contractors, but these "contractors" almost certainly are not covered even by the required Insurance bond we licensed contractors are required to carry. They more than likely work "under the table" so to speak and do not pay taxes. If an install fails / is done with substandard quality or materials, you have no legal recourse against them, but you do with a licensed contractor. Its worth "peace of mind" to spend a bit more and be protected by an insurance / bonding company.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It's all about understanding exactly the needs of the customer and what their desired outcome is.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over 30 years of experience in tile and stone work. I was chosen by a large custom builder ( Walt Brett / Charger Const., / he has relocated to a different state) to install all types of tile/ travertine/ marble in 2 award winning homes he built for the "Tour de Elegance" home shows in the late 90 s.
