My children (11 and 9) have been taking piano lessons at Coastal Music Studios for 15 months now. It's been a great learning adventure since: my daughter unlike my son started at an entry level and is now able to play a great selection of good classicals. Andy and Pam are a great team with awesome management skills. While Andy teaches guitar and more, he's mainly the admin person who always goes above and beyond to accommodation his clients. Pam's pedagogical skills are impressive. She teaches piano, singing, directs the Children's Choir (which is free!), conducts .... with encouragement and patience. She's an accomplished musician and artist, perfect for our children! We highly recommend Coastal Music Studio for any music lesson!

I rented a violin and spent 2 months attempting to teach myself. I could not figure out how to make the instrument sound as beautiful as I knew it could. Mr. Tabar spent 6 minutes adjusting my rental violin, and by the end of my first (free!) lesson, we were playing a short duet. I can now practice without the frustration of the squeaky strings or concern that I am offending anyone's ear. I am 30, and even though I recently started college, I was more nervous about calling for violin lessons than going back to school. Mr. Tabar made me feel very comfortable and I have a great deal more confidence in learning this instrument than I ever thought I would. I look forward to my upcoming lessons, and I can't wait to play more intricate music.

Super responsive and super great guy. His technician was delayed in a fender bender on the way to my tuning appointment, so Alex himself jumped in the car and came to my home (all the way from El Cajon to Carlsbad!). My piano sounds great - thank you. I will use you again!

My daughter had violin lessons with Ms Amy for a year. We loved the convenience of having lessons in our own home with a great teacher, as her lessons were taught privately via Skype. Our only regret was that it would have been even better to work with her in person, but seeing as we lived in another state, that wasn't an option for us. Ms Amy was a great teacher! She was an inspiration to our daughter and helped her to love the violin.

US Music Lessons is great. My daughter's been receiving piano lessons for a little over a year now and it's been a positive experience. The teachers are nice and their rates are reasonable, better than similar services out there.

Richard teaches violin to my 16 y/o son. Richard's easy-yet-scholarly manner is a total win with a student this age. My son's progress has been remarkable. Richard is astute at facilitating the next step at each point of development. He is skilled, encouraging, and engaging and my son is very happy with the lessons, as am I!

I received a very interesting offer of a discount in case I decided to book today and there were no additional enrollment fees (as it was the case with another supplier of services). Tony got in touch with me immediately and... I can't wait for my first piano lesson.

Mr. Violin has been teaching my 13 year-old son violin for 4 years give or take. He’s great. He’s exercises lots of patience. He provides variety in lessons, squeezing a lot in one lesson. My son learns scales, classics, and other songs based off his interests and familiarity. He’s always very pleasant. You can tell he enjoys what he does.

We are thrilled to have found Mr. Rotzler. In just a few lessons he has taught our 14 year old things she has never been taught before in spite of having 4 previous violin teachers. Mr. Rotzler is not only exceptionally talented on the violin, but he also knows how to teach it! His dynamic personality makes the lessons fun while at the same time teaching proper technique. He is also very positive and motivating to students of all levels and inspires them to do their best.

Studio lessons are $30 for 30-minute lessons, $45 for 45-minute lessons, and $60 for one-hour lessons, with tuition paid monthly. I also travel to my students' homes for lessons. Depending on your location, a travel fee will apply for in-home lessons. I believe that learning music should be fun, and I tailor lessons to meet the individual needs and goals of my students. I communicate clearly with students and parents, and help students set and achieve their musical goals. I have 15 years of experience teaching private music lessons, as well as preschool and elementary school classroom music. I studied music at the University of Minnesota and Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. In addition to being a teacher, I am also a composer, a performing musician, and a vibrant member of the musical community.
