Introduction: Hi, I’m Katie! Your coach, instructor, and partner in creating the wedding dance of your dreams. I truly believe anyone can learn to partner dance - my clients are constantly blown away by what they achieve, even when they thought they had two left feet and no rhythm.
I have over 10 years of experience teaching social/partnered dance styles, with a primary focus on East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing, Salsa, Bachata & Merengue. I have taught all over the States and competed in dance competitions in the UK, Baltimore, DC, Denver, and San Diego (my home).
Teaching partnered dance and group choreography are my specialties - I love learning my client’s dreams and goals for their first dance and bringing them to life with my easy-to-follow coaching and creative approach to choreography.
Whether you’re comfortable dancing and want to add some flair to your first dance, or you have no experience and are scared to dance in front of others - I GOT YOU. Having never had prior dance experience, I was very nervous to rehearse our choreography dance for our wedding. But with the help of Katie, my fianc and I were able to feel confident and prepared performing our first dance.Katie is an excellent teacher. Her lessons and classes were very well structured. We spent time learning complex maneuvers, and then basics to complete our dance. Each session, Katie took time to provide useful tips to simplify our dance.Katie is patient and able to teach in a simple but effective way. I recommend anyone try learning to dance with her (even if you don't think you can dance!)

Katie is a wonderful dance teacher, before my first class with her I felt like a beginner in this style of dance, but I quickly became comfortable on the dance floor! I had so much fun and I feel really confident dancing weddings now.

I highly recommend working with Katie to learn your first dance at your wedding. My partner and I pulled off an amazing dance that our guests loved and we had so much fun in the process. I can feel how much Katie loves what she does by the extra time she took to really know who we are and create a dance that was meaningful and fun. She broke down the steps of the dance into sections that were easily accomplished and she gave us smooth transitions. I enjoyed my time with Katie and would recommend her expertise in creating your first dance at your wedding.

We were nervous because my partner and I are NOT experienced dancers. From our first lesson, Katie put us at ease, and by our second lesson, we could do some basic moves. By the end of our series, we had a wedding dance to our favorite song and we totally wowed our friends and family! Katie made us feel comfortable and confident! I highly recommend Katie to any couple wanting to learn a dance routine or even some basic moves for their wedding! We loved our first dance so much because of your help!
