Like many who favor the furnishings of wood antiques to decorate a homes interior, I too have a great affinity for them.
Throughout my youth, my mother would pack lunches, and take us though the antique jungles in search of a nice pair of legs. As time passed, I moved to California and took my antiques with me. During this time, they suffered much with chips, dents, and breaks taking their toll along the way.
I searched far and wide for the right person to restore them to their past glory but found them to be either inexperienced or just too expensive. One day, a Lakeside local mentioned to go see a craftsman named John saying you wont be disappointed in work or price.
So, understanding that my old wooden friends were in great need of repair, I went to see the wizard (John), the wonderful Wizard of Wood.
After calling him he stopped by to see my Duncan Phyfe dinner table, buffet, and chairs. John studied every piece, taking pictures and notes. A day or two later he gave me a quote and I was very happy with the price. A few weeks later, he dropped off my pieces and I was taken back by their restored beauty. Since then, hes brought life back to 8 of my antiques and have plans for him to do our kitchen cabinets next.
All I can say about John is that he is a true master-craftsman of his trade and is a man that loves to produce quality work. His honest personality and sincerity of heart are reflected in his prices. He truly is the real deal and you wont be disappointed.
