Hired on Thumbtack

Working with Ted was a delight. He is professional and friendly and kept in touch with us closely throughout the entire project. Our project consisted of painting old kitchen cabinets, removing backsplash and installing new tile backsplash. We also were installing hardwood floors throughout the whole house which consisted of Ted having to jackhammer out the old flooring. No small task, especially while we were living in the house at the time! he bent over backwards to make sure that we were comfortable in our home while the work was happening even though, as everyone knows, home remodeling can be a real mess! We would definitely work with Ted again and hope to be redoing our bathroom at some point in the future. Highly recommend!

All of the above! Ted converted my fluorescent lighting in my kitchen to canned lights that were insert into a crown molding box. Absolutely stunning!

I haven’t had any luck using Thumbtack, however, this company was the worst of them all! It wouldn’t let me leave zero starts, or I would have. Unlike the other two Thumbtack companies, Ted responded right away via messaging and set up an appointment for the following week, May 3rd. Upon arrival, he was friendly and enthusiastic, we laughed about how my kitchen and his mothers were both Hunting Coat Red. After 30-45 minutes discussing ideas, taking pictures and measurements, Ted asked for my email and said he would send the estimate later that night or next day. I was so excited when he left to find someone responsive and ready to start! I texted him my email and followed up the next day to ensure he had received, to which he replied “yes, thank you”. That was the last I ever heard from Ted. I sent two follow up emails via Thumbtack (May 6th and 9th). Nothing. Not responding to initial request or failing to show up for the appointment is one thing. Ghosting the owner you spent the time and effort to show up and review the job with is another. FYI – Ted left a business card and the website is non-existent. Obviously, I would not recommend LeBoeuf Construction
