I am the mother of a child with Attention Deficit Disorder and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. As a parent, we think that we are always equipped to deal with whatever comes our way, but in my case, I lost my direction. I became overwhelmed with the fear, upset and frustration associated with the behavior and diagnosis of my son. I found Deb and am so very grateful that I did. She cleared the fog, and allowed me to see the things I needed to in order to move forward in a positive direction, and enable me to listen and understand my son without the anger associated with each interaction. Debi didn't lecture me... she listened, she empathized, she shared, but most of all she empowered me to understand that I do have control of my relationship with my son, this diagnosis and my life. With her guidance, humor, knowledge and her genuine concern, my vision is now clear, and I am forever grateful.

Dania is the best therapist i've ever had; she is flexible, attentive to detail and does not talk over you or for you. She is also remarkably kind and dedicated.

Diana is an incredibly warm, empathic, playful, and nonjudgmental therapist. She really accepts you as you are and whole heartedly wants to make changes with you. I am always impressed by her ability to make sense of things and reflect it back to me in an alternative way. She has opened my eyes to so many patterns and defenses I have, and has done it in a way that felt kind and safe. I would really recommend her to anyone I know.

This is an amazing service, as finding a therapist is one of the most difficult things. It was great to have the choice of therapists that were preselected for me and I am happy to say I have found the one for me.

I was Sebastian's client for 8 years. I have not worked with him for 5 years now but will gladly do so again when necessary. Sebastian's practice centers around authenticity. He works with you to develop an understanding of your authentic experiences and feelings and helps you to evolve this into a healthy, vibrant framework from which you can approach the world in a confident and loving manner instead of in a fearful and reactive one. Your problems don't go away but you become better equipped to face them as well as the greater challenges to come, rather than hiding in addiction, fantasy, or denial. While ultimately satisfying this is not easy work. Sebastian approaches the process with tremendous love and compassion but also favors pushing and encouraging you to move forward rather than coddling you. He also leans more toward the Humanistic school of psychology rather than the classical one which means that he will bring in his own personal experiences as part of the process, discussion, and frame of reference. This can be enormously beneficial but may not work for everybody. It worked for me because our background and trauma were similar and as a result I was able to trust the process based on example rather than theory. A balancing act is inevitably required when the Therapist brings his/her personal experiences into the process. How much of this is relevant, helpful, or appropriate? Sebastian is a willing collaborator in this balancing act and is open to hearing if you think it is too much or you would prefer a more neutral approach. Collaborating on that balancing act was also great practice for me to define and hold boundaries. Sebastian also practices Trans Personal psychology which means that the work you do with him extends beyond your individual identify and experience and embraces spiritual, and cosmic dimensions. It is my personal conviction that any healing practice be in therapy, 12-step program, or personal development will by nature have to encompass a spiritual element. There is no healing within the individual mind at all for the simple reason that it's resources are limited and it's context inadequate. Other things I like about Sebastian is that he has heart and he has a sense of humor. He is also a flawed human being and fortunately will not try to hide behind a veneer of spiritual tidiness. Though Sebastian worked well for me and many others, he is not for everybody. Check in with yourself about what approach feels safest and most appropriate for you. Hopefully this review helps, whichever direction you choose.

The biggest benefit I get from Kip is knowing I have a scheduled, recurring time each week to work on my mental health. It's easy to get lost in the madness of the work week and avoid spending time on personal growth. Kip gives me something to anchor to no matter what's going on at work, I have my Kip appointment to look forward to and hold onto as a constant in my life. My productivity has definitely improved on the job; my mind is much more focused as I work on my mental health with my Kip therapist on a weekly basis. It's the mental equivalent of going to the gym on a routine basis; it feels good doing that for myself, and that positivity comes through in my work.

About

I have worked as a licensed therapist since 1984. I am passionate about being present with clients and helping them to transition through difficult situations. I love to help them be more present in their lives and more loving to themselves and others. I work with people who want to explore themselves and improve the quality of their lives. Sometimes, they don’t feel as alive in their lives as they deserve to. I work with them to understand their needs. It’s important for people to find what gives their life energy, joy, and passion – what makes life meaningful for each individual. We all need to claim our own meaning.

Angelique Millette, PhDc, CLE, PCD/CD (DONA), works with families with many different sleep arrangements and parenting philosophies. Angelique developed the Millette Method, a unique approach to solving baby/child sleep issues. The Millette Method includes a range of sleep methods: no/low crying, as well as crying methods, room sharing, bed sharing, crib sleeping, sibling sharing rooms, and twins/higher order multiples. All of Angelique's methods encourage parent presence and take into account parental sleep deprivation, parental overwhelm, infant/child development, developmental milestones, and infant/child temperament. Angelique also assists families with challenging toddler/young child behaviors. Angelique's techniques encourage playfulness and family bonding and are developmentally appropriate based on a toddler or young child's ability to understand what is expected of them. Some of the challenging behaviors include: Potty learning issues, biting, hitting, kicking, and jealousy and sibling rivalry. Angelique's clients have overwhelming praise for her methods and often say that her methods not only lead to the child's sleep issues or problem behavior going away, but also lead to a better understanding about the child and enhanced family bonding. - Infant/toddler/child - Siblings/twins/triplets - Parent education - Sleep consultation - In-home, phone or Skype consultation across the US - Workshops and conferences across the US Please check out our website for a full list of services and upcoming events.
