Our science and math tutor is amazing and is making a real difference. I highly recommend this service.
John Linneball helped me with SAT tutoring, especially in the math sections. The sessions took place at my house every week, but if ever there was a problem, communication was made easy through email. He really helped me and we clocked in many hours of math exercises. Not to mention, he gave me suggestions on what I should work on during my alone time.
I like working with George because he works efficiently and helps me understand the materials, especially math. He makes things easy to understand and he is very knowledgeable. I always ask to tutor with him because he’s the best math tutor to work with!
John Bertinetti helped me study for the GMAT exam over the summer of 2017 with concentrated sessions to review GMAT Quant. John got me started on a study path by sharing info about the best study resources for my problem areas, and would meet with me once or twice a week to go over key Quant problems that I needed help solving. John is an ideal tutor for students who are good at keeping themselves on track without a structured curriculum. Great value, flexible scheduling, and clear explanations of problems are all huge wins with him. About halfway through the summer, I realized that I needed a structured class and more discipline to keep myself on schedule, so I supplemented my study sessions with John with an independent online class with a live teacher. Key lessons w/John: John is all about understanding the concepts behind a problem before sharing tricks; his method is great for learners like me who need to understand the math conceptually and don't want to just memorize formulas. We did a lot of work on combinatorics and probability, which were my challenge areas. He was a great and affordable supplemental resource for me beyond the class. Results: I went from a 580 on my Manhattan GMAT diagnostic to a 730 score on the actual GMAT after 3 months of light study followed by 2 months of intense study.
Mr Singh tutored me for SATII Math subject test. He took his time and was really patient while explaining the topics. I went from scoring 630 the first time I took the test to scoring 790 . In less than 3 months we went over every possible concept and types of questions. We went over a lot of mock test and towards the end I was very confident about taking the test. He also helped me learn how to better use the graphic calculator. If you are struggling with SAT or don't like math but want to score good, you should go with Mr Singh.
My daughter is learning Algebra and Calculus for the past several months. He is a great motivator, knowledgeable, punctual and comes prepared. Still an old-time school, works best for Math.
John-Michael is the professional tutor I needed in my life. Math was such a dull subject and he brings it to life with his enthusiasm and curiosity. I genuinely fell in love with math! My Pre-Calculus grade shot up to an A (from my dark past of a D) after working with him for 1.5 months. He's refined my work ethic and respect for this subject and I couldn't ask for anything better. I continue to see him every week and its always a pleasure!
MathMan was wonderful. He came to the house prepared and always on time with a plan for the day. I would recommend him to any family of some math tutoring.
Sowmya is a very capable, perhaps outstanding teacher. My son gained an entire grade from her tutoring in Calculus.
Angela does the best job of explaining concepts for AP/SAT if you are trying to learn something outside of school. We did our tutoring over the computer, but I actually found it more engaging than in person. For example, I was confused about cos (180degrees), because I hadn't learned about it in school yet. Angela's explanation also made 10x more sense than what my math teacher would say. Now I FINALLY understand how to find cos (180degrees)!
We did in-person tutoring at the library for math. Our tutor was excellent. Arbor Tutors is just amazing!
Helped me greatly in my business math course in college. Passed with flying colors. Thanks Dan!
Sylvia is tutoring my daughters in Spanish. They never had Spanish before, and when they moved to a new school, the level of Spanish is very advance for someone who never had the lessons. Sylvia works with them in getting them up to speed. In a short time, both my children had become comfortable in following the lesson at school, and I have noticed that both of them have made quite significant improvements. My oldest daughter tells me that once she is comfortable with her Spanish, she wants to start French with Sylvia. I am sure that if either of my kids need tutoring in Math, Sylvia would be the one we go to. If your child or children need extra help in academic, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you call Sylvia. My children are very happy with how she teaches. Sylvia is also opens to different approaches in teaching. If my kids want more challenge, all they have to do is tell Sylvia and she will give them challenging lessons.
