Introduction: I try to help clients to discover their courage - their courage to be real and true to themselves.
Finding your courage is preliminary to psychological growth. If you haven't found your courage, then you are following others. You are not taking responsibility for your actions, and you are doing what you have been told to do. You are distrustful of your self and are afraid to be your true self. You are afraid that your true self will do wrong things; you are unable to rejoice in life.
There is no point in wasting time trying to enjoy life before courage is found. The first act of courage usually is facing and accepting that you are miserable and unable to get out of misery. The courage to face this truth points the way to be followed to reach and claim your courage.
When courage is arising, joy is close by.
