Introduction: I am an artist with an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and specialist training in traditional hand embroidery from the Royal School of Needlework in the UK.
I am trained in a variety of hand embroidery techniques, including crewelwork, goldwork, silk shading, needlepoint, applique, stumpwork, beadwork, whitework, blackwork, quilting, and smocking. Additionally, I have training in tassel making, furniture making, upholstery, textile conservation/restoration and hand knitting.
I am open to working on all kinds of projects, whether they are commissions where we start from scratch or perhaps you have a project that you are stuck on and need help finishing. In addition to commissions I am also available for art and embroidery lessons.
I am very passionate about my craft, and I hope that I can find a way to share that passion with you.
I hope to speak with you soon!
