FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing can vary , from venue to venue . Being in the business my job takes me from one venue to the next I would say none of them are alike , they will sometimes require a little more attention to detail , most importantly the focal point is front and Centre , but may require additional speakers for eg a outdoor venue the sound can’t be contained and placement of speaker(s) is vital for the overall listening quality . I like to be prepared for the event sometimes that is a sneak peak at venue . Making a assessment of nearest power source . Type of event , this is also important maybe it’s a annual award ceremony mostly speeches but non the less being prepared for 500 guests panel of judges is just as important to me as a kids birthday party dj . So in conclusion a lot of factors can contribute to the overall price . But I believe I have a repeat business clientele because I get it right the first time . I would also add that my pricing is flexible once I have made a overall assessment .
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually prefer a phone consultation . Once we have spoken a quick assessment can be made of overall requirements of client . A meet and greet before the event takes place ,I usually like to do that at the event space to ensure it has the basic requirements needed for the show / party.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with a great cross section of people for various different events . Each of their needs can be specific to their event . Weddings: Some of my customers are newly weds . Requirements may vary but mostly sound and lighting MC their wedding suppling hand held microphones etc . Block parties: One of my clients hosts a yearly Christmas appreciation party for their staff and customers at a busy coffee / bistro shop . They obtain a permit from the city to close off the street outside their business I would set up a sound system bring some lighting , last year I added a snow machine which the kids loved . That particular event require s a wide variety of music as the age gap is family oriented . Bars : I have a customer that owns a busy neighborhood bar and sometimes for various events they hire me to dj . I can honestly say you can find me dj ing Their twice a month . Charitable events : Within my community I work with various organizations , Some of which are charitable and I give back to them by helping with production supplying various equipment and expertise for their event for no fee. Some of these events require a lot of volunteers to help pull it off with a background in carpentry I can also provide one of a kind art pieces and props .
